Professional wrestling career
Early career
Adam Brooks got into wrestling via his brother, Dusty Schneble, around 2010. He trained at the MECCA Training Camp under his brother, as well as head trainers Nykk and Ronin Fox. He learned the ropes of the business and made his in-ring debut in late 2009. He continued to train with MECCA competitors and wrestle for independent promotions for the first six months of his career.
Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2010-present)
Debut
As a graduate of the MECCA training camp, Brooks was often at their shows doing odd jobs like security and ring crew, generally paying his dues. He finally got a chance to appear in the ring at Never Say Die in a tag team battle royale as Adam Murray, teaming with fellow camp graduate Terry Court, but was the first man eliminated. A month later, he appeared in the Hooligan Riot on the 2010 edition of Summertime Showdown, backing up The Invincible Outlaws in their title defense against The UK Wrecking Crew. Murray would work a handful of dark matches over the next few months, while also appearing as a lumberjack in the match between Ronin Fox and Ares at At Your Own Risk. Murray continued to help out with odd jobs, work independents, and occasionally appear on MECCA programming over the next few months.
Full Time Competitor
In late June of 2011, Murray was offered a full time wrestling contract with MECCA. He changed his name to Adam Brooks, and on June 29 teamed with Austin Lee against Marcus Kavian and Gran Akuma. Brooks accidentally cost Lee the match, and Lee took it out on him physically afterward in the locker room. Brooks took exception to this, and when Austin won the MECCA Toughman Championship, attempted to take the belt from him. He received a shot on the July 29 episode of Rundown, but was unsuccessful. Brooks continued to gain experience by wrestling some of MECCA's best over the next few months. He formed a part-time team with Danny Dreggs. At No Regrets, they lost to the returning Pyro Twins in a Four Corners match that also included The UK Wrecking Crew and Aaron Glover and Terrence Bolton. Brooks would also compete in the Six-Man Melee match in early 2012, and in the Battlebrawl match at The MECCA Challenge VIII.
