Rach quietly hummed to Ike and held him in her arms, she was sitting on his lap and he had his arms loosely around her. Tia looked at them and felt so bad for forgetting to tell him, she was just so eager to get away because hanging out with Katelin was like talking to a wall. Zac had seen Ike during a heart break before but had never seen him actually let someone calm him. He was so happy because Ike had changed somehow.... and somehow, so had he. Tay sat there staring at them, he too had seen Ike through many heart breaks and let downs... he thought the worst was when their Grandma died, that killed him too. But Ike seemed to be hit the hardest with it, sometimes he would catch Ike looking at her picture and crying, he thought that was when Ike was the most fragile.
Rach slowly pulled away and lifted his face to hers, "Now Ike....even though you feel hurt and alone, we are always here for you. There is no need in being alone and sad when we are here to help. Now turn that frown upside down and go take a walk okay?" He looked and her and weakly smiled, she touched his face softly and kissed his forehead. She got up and so did he and they walked to the door, "I think you should be alone for a while, come back when your ready...." she smiled and he walked out the door and to the beach. She went and sat down and looked at Tia. Tia had a look of sorrow in her eyes.
"I'm sor...."she began.
"Its ok Tia....I understand." Indeed she did understand, Rach had been trapped in a house with Katelin enough to know how much she could drive one insane. Tia nodded and looked down, Tay and Zac smiled at each other then looked at the TV where Animaniacs were still on.
Ike walked along the beach with his sandals in hand and the water hitting his feet. He thought how could someone do that to another person, but then remembered how Rach was so kind and understanding. It was like she knew what he was thinking and how he felt. He had never before let anyone know how he felt, for he was the one who held everyone together, made them smile when they felt bad and comfort them when needed. He knew Tay liked Rach a lot.....But he couldn't help but to feel for her too.....
Ike walked back in and sat on the floor near the chair that Rach was sitting in. "Fell better?" she asked. He shook his head and smiled. Tia sighed in relief. Rach laughed at her and got up. "Well, I better go have a talk with little Miss Idiot..." Rach said while walking to the door. Tay got up and went to her.
"I'll go with you..." she nodded and they walked out together. He took her hand in his and smiled. She smiled back at him and they entered the beach house.
"Katelin...." Rach started as Katelin looked up at her from her spot on the couch.
"If this is about that guy.....Then you can leave cuz I won't listen."
"Well, it is and you are going to listen!" she started. She let go of Tay's hand and began to speak. "Look you can screw as many druggies and idiots as you want but DON'T ever play with someone's heart. You knew that Ike was not the kind to just screw around...but you did it anyway..... Katelin if I have ever been more disappointed in you than I am now I would love you to remind me of the time."
"How bout when I screwed your boyfriend?" Katelin mocked her challenging. Rach just looked at her in a hurt way and went to the room where Katelin was sleeping in. She packed Katelin's things in the three suit cases that she brought and took them out to her.
"Leave......." she stood there.
"What?? You gotta be kiddin me!" Katelin said. Rach stood there determined not to step down or give in. She hated to do this but she had to.....for her sake, Tia's sake their parents and everyone else. Tay stood there shocked, he could never imagine kicking Ike or Zac out....But this was different.....He knew it had to be done. Katelin stood up and grabbed her car keys and her bags.
"You'll be sorry!! Mark my words!" she demanded.
"With an 'X' " Rach stated and watched her stepsister leave. She sat down with her head in her hands and sighed. She was sure Katelin would do something to get her back....but what...she was afraid to even guess.
Tay had put his arms around Rach and hugged her, they soon forgot about their problems and kissed each other passionately. He loved the feel of her lips on his, her lips were so soft and tender. She was so perfect to him, he loved her already. He dreaded the end of the summer, he didn't want to waste any minuet of their time together. He held her close and kissed her deeply, before they knew it one thing lead to another. They were now in Rach's room and both nearly naked, as he laid her down on the bed and kissed her neck he stopped himself. "Rach...." he whispered. "Can I make love to you?" he asked sweetly and softly kissed her neck. She nodded and wrapped her arms around him.......
They laid together staring at the ceiling, Tay had never felt anything so great in his life before. He held her close and breathed in her scent, he ran his fingers through her hair and felt as though he was a part of her now. If he let her go, she'd fly away into the night air. Soon they fell asleep in each other's arms....
Tia was awaken by a person shaking her. "Tia....psst Tia wake up man." Zac shook her.
"Hum?? what???" she sat up and looked at Zac. He smiled.
"Hey...." he started, she looked at him and smiled. "Ya know, I forgot why I woke you up...."
"Maybe I should stay until you remember" She smiled. He laughed and laid his head in her lap.
"Your so pretty" he said. She blushed and smiled. He reached up and touched her face softly. He sat up and looked at her, finally he reached to where he was brave enough to steal a kiss. He kissed her fast, but softly then looked at her. She blushed and smiled. He hugged her and they laid down and fell asleep again.
Katelin knocked softly on Rach's window. Tay was awake and watching Rach sleep. He put on his boxers and went to the window. "What do you want?" he asked bluntly.
"I wanted to talk to Rach and apologize....." she started.
"Well, she's asleep so go away."
"Well..... could you come out and talk to me? I feel so bad and can't sleep...." she asked. He resisted at first but then gave into her seducing smile.
"Fine... I'll be out in a sec...." He grabbed his jeans and walked outside. "Well, what now?" he asked.
"I dunno.... I just feel so bad....." she said while walking down to the beach. He followed her and set down on the ground beside her. She looked at him and smiled. "Ya know.... when the moon light hits you just right, it brings out your eyes...." she said. He looked away and she reached and tilted his face back to hers and kissed him seductively. He cringed at the taste of alcohol on her breath and pulled away.
"I need to go!" he stated and began to stand. She pulled him down and looked at him....
"Stay a while....won't you please?" she begged with her eyes as she injected heroine into his arm.
"OW!" he screamed as he stood but then feel to his feet. He looked around as the world seemed to be spinning out of control. He laid down and closed his eyes. He groaned as he passed out. Katelin smiled and took her clothes off and then took his jeans and boxers off and wrapped herself in his arms and threw a sheet over them.
Ike stepped out of the house and walked to Rach's to get her and Tay for breakfast. He knocked and waited for someone to answer. Rach got up and wrapped the sheets around her. She saw Tay's shirt and thought he was in the bathroom, so she went to the door and opened it. "Hi..." Ike said, knowing that her and Tay shared more than just a bed together last night. She smiled and invited him in.
"Let me go get dressed and we will be ready to eat soon..." she said and went into her room. She pulled on a pair of jean shorts and a loose fit T-shirt. She looked in the empty bathroom and walked out to where Ike was. "Have you seen Tay?" Ike was now staring out the window at what he could not believe was true.
"I think I found him...." he said sadly as Rach looked out the window and saw her worst nightmare. She gasped and stepped back.
"Why?!!??!" she screamed. She fell to her knees and cried, Ike kneeled next to her and hugged her. "Why Katelin????" she cried into his arms.
" I don't know....." he sighed. He felt her pain...for he still wasn't over Katelin doing what she did to him. And now to find Tay and Katelin together killed him as much as it killed Rach.
"I gave my virginity to him! I gave him my life....." she bawled. Tia and Zac walked into the house and looked at them.
"What happened?" Zac asked. Ike nodded to the window and they both looked out.
"Oh my god...." Tia said in shock. Suddenly a rage of anger went over Tia and she ran outside and kicked Katelin in the side. "You bitch!" she screamed. Katelin cringed in pain but knowing her plan worked smiled to herself.
"What did I do??" she asked as she sat up letting her bosoms show. Tia turned away and threw a shirt at her. Katelin slipped it on and put her shorts on. Tay cringed at the sun and looked at Katelin who was next to him.
"What the fuck?!" he screamed and stood up with the sheet around him.
"Why....good morning Taylor..." Katelin grinned evilly.
"What the??? How the??? " Tay screamed and ran into the house pulling his pants on. He looked at Rach in Ike's arms crying. "Rach.." he started. She looked up and bite her lip. Then Katelin appeared behind Tay and put her hand on his shoulder. He jumped away from her.
"You whore!!" Rach screamed and stood up along with Ike. "How could you?! Oh wait I forgot! Your a heartless bitch!" She slapped Katelin hard across the face. Katelin just smiled and walked out. "And you.....how could you do this to me??? How could you hurt me so bad......" She looked at Tay for an explanation.
"I didn't do anything..." he started.
"You didn't do anything?! WHATEVER!!!!!! You and Katelin are just intertwined in each other's arms naked and you expect me to believe you didn't do anything?!" Rach screamed at him.
"Rach you gotta believe me. Please!" Tay not sure what happened suddenly felt weak. He moaned in pain and fell to the floor.
"TAYLOR!" Rach fell by his side and held him in her arms. "Tay...." she spoke weakly through her tears.
"I'm fine.. I'm ok....." he said. Ike noticed marks on his arms and grabbed Tay and pulled him up.
"Taylor what in the hell is this??? Have you been on heroine???" he asked very upset. Tay looked down at his arm and fell weakly into Ike's arms. "O god.... Zac go get dad!" Ike picked up Tay and laid him on the couch......
