Keepers of the Sky

As you look upon the dawn of a new sky,
you see keepers gallant and softly floating by,
For God sends his highest disciples,
To watch over us with wings,
So pure and innocent,
As the day of a new born babe,
pleasures and wonders from up above,
God sends his golden staircase,
To those who have taken a place,
Within his heavenly body of love,
For you may not see them but,
They are always about,
They keep us safe and warm,
From the devils' angry shout,
Though you may not hear what they say,
But you always know when,
To keep trouble at bay,
For to sense one is to be blessed,
God certainly does his very best,
For all who is grateful and understands that,
The disciples are here because of a greater plan,
To become one divine and always shine,
The golden halo they so proudly wear,
Upon their heads and make their beds,
Up upon the heavenly clouds in the skies,
To watch over us as we go by,
With our daily lives,
For those who do not know for whom I speak,
Angels they are called,
With a mystic surrounding we know so little about,
Just remember,
They are there to keep us from harms way,
For God opens his pearly gates,
And sends to earth only when needed,
We the lucky ones to have been blessed,
By the grace of God's very own,
Angels at best.
