For several years we have made a trip to Chicago the week before Christmas. Even though it can sometimes be cold (in 1997 it was 3 below zero) it is still fun to walk around the city (or get lost on buses) and see the sites. In 1998 we took some of the Ross family with us and then had a Christmas celebration at our house after going to the windy city. To see picures from that year click here.
We love these singing and dancing elves that roam around Marshall Field's department store. They put on a show there several times a day.
Another highlight at Marshall Field's and several other downtown stores is the way they decorate for Christmas. There are moving displays in a series of large windows outside the store. Here's Michael, Mom, and Andy checking out the display.
