Barber followed with how the election would be conducted by mail: a letter and ballot form would be mailed to all members the following week, with deadline for return of ballot by 8:30 a.m. August 3, to marina office.  At that time the Secretary and committee would count ballots and report to trustees and members the results.

Social Committee:  Jeannie Brandt reported that Riverboat Party and Boatwalk was to be later that day.  The boatwalk on F-dock was open to all with a small admission charge.  Eight sailboats and 3 powerboats were participating.  The next social, 8/24, will have a Country & Western theme and will be a HBYC fundraiser with a $15 admission charge.

Race Committee: David Righter reported that Race #3 was to be at 2 p.m. that day.  Larry Hurst reported that the Feeder Race for the I-LYA race week at Put-in-Bay was August 3.  For anyone interested in participating in any part of Bay Week, see him for information.

New Business:

Bob Hope reported on the incident of an unescorted guest of member present in clubhouse and being found in the meeting room.  It was not known who he was, whose guest he was or what he did in the meeting room.  Following this was a discussion on providing all club members with nametags.  Bill Buschor moved that HBYC provide each member with a nametag as part of dues.  Motion was seconded.  Comm. Barber said the Trustees would consider the matter.  Other mention was made of the possibly requiring wearing nametags be worn anytime a member is in the clubhouse.

Ed Sergi moved to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded and passed.

Respectfully submitted,

Melinda Righter
