The Original
Here she is, this is the original bass that I bought. It's a piece of shit Fender knock off called an Encore, I got it the summer after my freshman year when I started playing. Most recently it's been seen being played at the Battle of the Bands as my "Weezer-tuned guitar." Gotta dig the Batman symbol.
Katy
This is Katy, my first real bad ass bass. I call her Katy because I always think of an Irish red headed lass when I see it. Anyway, it's a Fender Deluxe P-Bass that I picked up from Musician's Friend. I used this bass at both the Battle and at KC's. The reason I picked this particular model was because I dug the Candy apple red finish and the gold pickguard, but the main attraction was the combination of P AND J pickups. Dude, I'm such a guitar geek, but I'm cool with it.
The Flying V
Yeah, I love this bass man. It's a 1958 Epiphone Korina Flying V. The dual humbuckers totally kick ass and it's light as hell which makes it easier to play for longer periods of time than Katy. The only downside is that I don't have a case for it so I don't have it with me at school (which sucks). Anyway, I got it on an eBay auction, that's about the whole story with that. It's my fav. The reason I don't have a girl's name for it is because I wanted to have a name that started with a "V" but I couldn't think of any. If you have any idea's email me, the address is around here somewhere.
The Tele
Here she is. This is the one and only guitar in my collection. It's a Vintage Blonde Squier Telecaster. I love this thing. This is the only guitar/bass that I have that I didn't buy myself, it was a gift from my parents for graduating high school. I suck at it, but I'm using my rudimentary knowledge to try and write some songs. The reason I don't have a name for her is plain and simple, I just haven't thought of one yet. Email me with any ideas.
