Carly: Sonny, look, I screwed up, ok? I’m sorry.
Sonny: I don’t want to hear “Sorry.”
Carly: You don’t understand. I did it for my mother.
Sonny: Go upstairs, Carly.
Carly: [She turns to Roy.] Bobbie thought that you might be in danger, you know? She was worried about you. She came to me. She asked me to help her.
Roy: There was no reason for you to rifle the man’s desk to try to find that. It was a bad idea
Carly: I didn’t do that. She asked me for the key. I just gave it to her so she could look. To see if she could find something that might help you. I didn’t know she was going to get in trouble. I didn’t know she might be in danger. I would never have done that.
Sonny: I said go upstairs, Carly! I don’t want to hear it!
Carly: Whatever you think of me, you’ve got to find Bobbie.
Roy: Yeah, you can count on that.
[Carly goes upstairs.]
[Roy and Sonny argue about what to do to get Bobbie back until the phone rings and Carly comes running down the stairs.
Carly: Answer the phone. It could be Bobbie. Come on.
Roy: Just hold on.
[ring]
Sonny: Hello.
Bobbie: Sonny, it’s Bobbie.
Sonny: Yeah, what’s up?
Carly: Who is it, Sonny?
Bobbie: Sonny, it’s Roy. He’s been hurt, and he’s been beaten up, and he could be dead. Please, you’ve got to find him.
[Sorel takes the phone away from Bobbie and tells Sonny that the only way to get Bobbie back it if Sonny transports a shipment of drugs. They hang up.]
Carly: That was Sorel, wasn’t it?
Sonny: Casino business.
Carly: Don’t lie to me.
Roy: Come on.
Carly: I’m sorry. I’m sorry.
Roy: You’re just worried about your mother. We all are.
Sonny: You know what? I know it’s tough on you, but I’ll let you know...as soon as I know anything, I’ll let you know.
Carly: None of this would be happening of it wasn’t for me.
Sonny: Well, you know, what’s done is done. We go on. We go on.
Carly: What do we do? What can I do? Can I do something?
Sonny: Yeah, go upstairs, get some rest. Take care of Michael and the baby and just take it easy.
Carly: I’ll try. But you come and get me if anything happens.
Sonny: I will.
[she leaves.]
Carly: Where did Roy go?
Sonny: Out.
Carly: Did you guys come up with some kind of plan?
Sonny: Working on it.
Carly: Sorel really did a job on Roy, didn’t he?
Sonny: Roy acts before he thinks. That’s his problem.
Carly: Don’t we all. My mother’s like that. Guess that’s something that they have in common. Must be part of their attraction...
Sonny: Carly ...enough.
Carly: I'm sorry. I said I was sorry. You know, I shouldn’t have done that. I shouldn’t have gone through your desk.
Sonny: But you did. That’s the problem here.
Carly: Well, my mother, you know, she doesn’t ever ask me for anything. She never does. And she came here. She was upset. She was...she was worried about him, you know? You weren’t here. what was I supposed to do?
Sonny: You’ve lived here with Jason. You know the rules.
Carly: She loves him, Sonny, you know? I didn’t see the harm in telling her where he was headed. You don’t make my mother pay for what I did.
Sonny: You and Hannah are two of a kind. If you knew anything about me, those words wouldn’t even come out of your mouth and you wouldn’t have gotten near my desk.
Carly: Did you forget what it was like to love somebody so much you’d be willing to risk anything to make sure they were okay?
Carly: Sonny, my mother’s life is in danger. It doesn’t...it doesn’t matter how she got there or who’s to blame. Just do something and get her back.
Sonny: I promise you I will get Bobbie away from Sorel.
Carly: Thank you. Sonny, I’m...
Sonny: No, no. Don’t...just go upstairs because, you know, I have enough problems with Roy running around trying to play a hero, and I don’t need the both of you making trouble for me.
Carly: Well, what...what about when this is over?
Sonny: What about it?
Carly: You know, I mean, are we going to be able to go back to how we were? Is it going to be like living in a way camp again? So, what are you going to do?
Sonny: Take care of business, like always.
