Hannah has just left after blasting Carly for sleeping with Sonny while they were together. Carly is standing on the docks, looking out on the water when Sonny comes along, almost immediately after Hannah. Carly is only in a light jacket and looks cold.
Sonny: Hey. What are you doing out here in the cold?
Carly: So, you’re following me now?
Sonny: Answer the question.
Carly: I went for a walk, ok?
[Sonny takes off his coat and places it around the shoulders of Carly, who is shivering.]
Sonny: On the docks, in the dark, in the cold?
Carly: Yeah, I like it down here.
Sonny: You like it enough to risk pneumonia?
Carly: It’s a little colder than I thought it was going to be.
Sonny: It’s February in upstate New York. What do you expect?
Carly: I'm trying to take care of myself, ok?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah. I can see that.
Carly: Well, it might be easier, you know, if everybody stopped yelling at me.
Sonny: You know where you should be...sitting beside a fire in the big house. Carly: I'd rather sleep under the dock naked, barefoot, without a coat than spend another night with the Quartermaines.
Sonny: So the house on the hill isn’t what you thought?
Carly: Not from the start.
Sonny: The night you went begging to them, all you had to do was fly off and be with Jason.
Carly: I got scared.
Sonny: You got greedy.
Carly: I didn’t get greedy. It’s not about money. It wasn’t supposed to turn out like this.
Sonny: But Michael still has to pay.
Carly: You know, I’m sorry, okay? I would do anything if it were different.
Sonny: I’m going for custody.
Carly: Sonny. Sonny, Please don’t take my baby.
Sonny: Not from you. From the Quartermaines.
Carly: You’ll win.
Sonny: Let’s go.
Carly: I'm ok.
Sonny: Jason is not showing up.
Carly: Here.
[Carly tries to gives him back his coat.]
Sonny: No. Forget the coat. We’re leaving.
Carly: No. Why should I go anywhere with you?
Sonny: Because you’re carrying my child.
Carly: I'm freezing.
Sonny: Take this.
[Sonny gives her back his coat and leaves.]
