
Cambridge High School finally got it's man.
After an extensive interviewing process.Richard Goodrich was hired as the head football coach for the Bobcats.And according to others in the school system and coaches from the area.CHS got the right man.
One of Goodrich's main tasks in the upcoming season will be to shore up the Bobcats' porous defense.Cambridge allowed a whopping 35.1 points per game in 1998.
"I'd like to bring in an attacking type of defense and make the other team adjust to us." Goodrich said. "We'll take chances and create some big plays."
A 1984 graduate of Otterbein College.Goodrich was a two-year All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer at running back for the Cardinals.He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1980

The Cambridge High School Athletic Boosters and the Cambridge High School Football Boosters are sponsoring a "Meet the Coach Night" with new CHS head football coach Rich Goodrich on Monday,March 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria. All CHS football parents and those wishing to join the football boosters are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
