She Cried Out
SHE CRIES OUT
She cries out in the night,
not knowing what to do.
Is she ready for flight,
or should she stay here with you.
She looks out the door,
and stares into space.
Is she ready to roar,
and show her new face.
She stares at the sky,
while her mind starts to wander.
Is she ready to fly,
and see what is out yonder.
She flies through the air,
and sees only but you.
Is she ready to dare,
be here without you.
She screams from the air,
please come and look here.
Is she thinking you care,
and will be there without fear.
She turns to the ground,
with eyes full of tears.
Is she flying around,
wondering when will you be here.
She flies to the ledge,
without you in hand.
As she moves to the edge,
and looks over the land.
She cries out in the night,
not knowing what to do.
Is she ready for flight,
or should she jump without you.
