Weakness in Numbers
When you look for inspiration
you turn to the crowd
you cant even hear your conscience
their actions speak so loud
but it must be okay
they're all the same
they do the same things everyday
Afraid to look a little different
you dress in the clothing they say is cool
buy it with your parents credit cards
a thousand clones drift around at school
at least you blend in now
When they pass you beer
you drink it up
even though you're sick from just the taste
you're really swallowing down your fear
it's better to be another nameless face
Individuality is a foregin word
it makes them cringe to hear it
the most ignored sound they've ever heard
the shatter of breaking spirits
You cant hear your inner voice
its been silenced so many times
once again you've made the wrong choice
it seemed right at the time
Wake up and open up your eyes
you've been wandering blindly through your life
its time to throw away that old disguise
and force yourself to look at what lies inside
The greatest part of being human
is knowing you can try again
even though you may lose a lot
you have the potential to win
But you have to want it for yourself
you cant let them answer for you
unless you enjoy being a toy on the store shelf
look around to see another million more of you.
