There is a tiny light
that glows within my heart
It used to sign much brighter
Before this had to start
This firefly flew on
as peacefully as it wished
until the darkness crept inside
and held it in its grip
The firefly would thrash itself
Into my black heart walls
Until the day the speck went out
and there was no light at all
