Upper Sandusky, Ohio is located 1 hour north of Columbus, OH (state capital), or 1 1/2 hours south of Sandusky, OH, where Cedar Point Amusement Park is located. The major highway intersection is U.S. 23 and U.S. 30. Upper Sandusky High School is a 9-12 facility with approximately 680 students.
The Upper Sandusky Music Department is staffed by band director Jim Frye , a 1985 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He is currently in his tenth year at USHS. Choral director is David Headings, a 1987 graduate of Bluffton College, currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Music Theory at Bowling Green State University. He is in his sixth year at USHS.
The band department offers the following courses: Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Pep Band. The choral department offer the following courses: Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Freshmen Choir, and Swing Choir. The music department also offers 1 music class to the entire student body: Music Music Appreciation.
