Together Again

She cried on the day
that he went away.
This time he would not be back,
this time he would stay.
She and her friends lived
their lives to the fullest extent,
To the parties, restaurants,
shopping and on trips they went.
But, during all of this her
sadness could not be sated,
For almost ten years
she quietly waited.
Finally she make plans to
go for a very long visit,
No longer wondering is it time,
is this it?
Never to be sick and
never to be in any pain.
They are running in the sunshine,
and smiling in the rain.
Side by side they are once again,
and seperated never,
Mom and Dad are together again,
this time forever.
11-18-96
Dad passed away in September 1984,
and Mom followed in January 1994.
I miss them both very much, but
I know that both are in a far
better place now.
I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD
