Starlit Night

Long ago on a
starlit night,
I held my lover
good and tight.
Together we jumped
off that bridge,
Way up there on
that mountain ridge.
Wasn't long before
they found us both,
Holding each other
real, real close.
Both of us found
real dead,
We hit a rock
with our head.
Long ago on a
sunshiny day,
They buried us both
near a field of hay.
Holding each other
real, real close,
That's how they
layed us both.
Cause high up on
that mountain ridge,
Together we jumped
off that bridge.
When I held my lover
good and tight,
Long ago on a
starlit night.
