Shiny Things

Stars shinning brightly in
the middle of the night,
Icicles hanging from the
roof in the bright sunlight,

A child's sweet
andsmiling face
when they have
just won a race,

The ice when it is
frozen on the lake,
The candles burning brightly on
someone's birthday cake,

The lights that are on
everyone's Christmas tree,
Golden rings on our fingers,
one for you and one for me,

The sun hanging way
up there in the sky,
The twinkle that you can
see in someone's eye,

Emeralds, sapphires, rubies,
and all the diamond rings,
How are they alike? They
are bright and shiny things.
