In December of 2001, I sold my MG Midget.
Lucky me it was sixty degrees (F) nearing the winter solstice.
I didn't take many pictures while I owned the car, I mostly just hit the asphalt.

Horsing around with my car
the car, Leann, and I
Matt dickin around with Andy & Jenna

Good rust shot while Matt & Andy push

My neighbors cat hit my cat and on April Fools she got us good.
May 2002: Leann and Honda @ 6 wks old.

Then I hit the brick.
1 2 3 4
Me still know counting gud.

So when I sold the Midget, I bought a Prelude cause everyone knows how good Honda made cars are. And of all the engines Honda has made, the 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines used in Accords and Preludes from 83-91 are among the best in longevity (and with good fuel economy or it would be a wash). Good thing too since my odometer was tampered to read 140,000, now stuck there, when it's probably 180k or higher. Someone didn't realize that high mileage is something to flout. There have been other laughs, but I've come to appreciate the few flaws in the otherwise beautiful design of the 3rd generation prelude. Just last month (August 2003) I left the Prelude out of gear, and it rolled down Leann's street quite a way and hit a tree.
Oh! she ain't pretty no more..
from these particular angles
On the plus side...
Leann's car is in good shape, worst color on a G20 though
I'll take this with 4 wheel steering
The Prelude's niche was known as the "date car" in the 80's, possibly only in Japan
But in '89 the S13 Silvia (240SX coupe) took the Prelude's throne. Prelude sales fell in America, hitting less than 10,000 units in 2000. Factors that contributed to the Prelude's low sales would include limited model selection in America for the 5th gen Prelude, but more to blame the poor taste of American consumers and their utter lack of foresight. But as a bonus for people who did buy the 5th gen, they get to drive around a sophicated sports car and sell at a price not hurt by deprecation caused by the release of the 6th gen Prelude
