Randall Guiness

Affiliation: Imperial, Wolfsbane Forces, Rank: Major

This character was in one of Scott's campaigns following the one featuring "Hellbane". He was run simultaneously by me with his powerful girlfriend, Jaws, a feat I haven't done since, mainly because I've had no desire to run two characters. However the creation of this character made me want to make the wealthy lover that he randomly rolled during character generation, and the creation of Jaws' character just sealed it. A little background on the Wolfsbane... Imperial is the equivalent to Britain. The Wolfsbane are a squad of kamikaze-if-need-be Heretic hunters. There is a standard suit of armor and a few wield mystical "heirloom swords." These aren't people just anyone wants to mess with. Two more things you'll pick up from this story: Scott is a lonely, lonely man and he watches WAY too much anime for anyone's well-being.

Randall Guiness is about 6'8", with dark hair, deep dark eyes. He has a powerful build and carries himself with an air of authority. Usually, he possesses a very jovial personality. Guiness usually dresses in his armor, which he feels the most comfortable in, though he has been sighted in formal wear, usually in the presence of his lover, Jocelyn. He speaks with a distinctly British accent and is very proud of his heritage.

Maj. Guiness was a Wolfsbane, who wields the Gallagher Claymore,"Heartbreaker," an heirloom weapon with mystical powers. Hailing originally from Fujikado on Mercury, he knows well the ways of fighting.

While on leave from the Imperial forces, to join his wealthy girlfriend, Officer Jocelyn "Jaws" Karlestein on a Pilgrimage across the solar system, he was approached on Venus by the Bauhaus Megacorp to assist them on a Freelance mission into the heart of the Venusian Jungle. He agreed, with secret information pertaining to the mission and a secret agenda shared with him by the Imperial forces.

On the mission, accompanied by a Brotherhood Reviser, a former General in the Bauhaus Military, and Dirk Smith, the brother of Dick Smith. After battling the many dangers of the Venusian Jungles, including a giant pitcher plant, a Venusian Python, a pair of devil cats, and a mess of looter monkeys, he faced off against a Dark Legion rendition of the Headless Horseman, and won.

Finding the object of the mission, a downed Imperial transport plane, he encountered a pair of surviving Imperial agents, whom he sent to destroy the evidence. These men failed their mission and died at the hands of his teammates. On the way back to civilization however, Guiness took the liberty of exposing the film that the former Bauhaus officer had taken the pictures of the evidence on. Unfortunately, he was unable to destroy the hard evidence.

Also on the way back, was a battle between the group and a huge "Devil Cat Rex," that Guiness killed, taking it's skull as a trophy and it's skin as a cloak. Other deadly encounters on the return trip included a run in with the narcotic Black Orchids, and another theft by looter monkeys. However the group made it back to civilization alive.

During the debriefing, Randall managed to get away with dishonouring a ranking official in the Bauhaus military with no repercussions whatsoever (mainly because the GM didn't want to roll up his character...).

After rejoining Jocelyn, who had had some business amongst the nobility, Guiness received a phone call from a friend, the one, the only Lynette Debonaire. She had heard about his Pilgrimage and found out that the next stop was Mercury, where it turned out she had a colleague who had gotten himself in over his head with the Triads (Mishiman organized criminals).

He gathered the group again, this time bringing along Jaws, and Dick Smith, who completed "The Brothers Grim," as reinforcements, and stormed Fujikado, nearly dying, and killing several members of a couple of the rival Triads, including Ryu (yes the Street Fighter II Ryu), the head of whom, Guiness himself had the pleasure of taking after being hit in the chest with a VERY big grenade. Seeking to get help from a rival Triad, rescued a high ranking person in one, telling him he had gotten caught in the crossfire, while in truth, The Brother's Grim had shot him. In order to convince him to take them to his boss, they had to kill a mercenary named Batana-Sempai (Yes.. this one is Hyper Police, but he was an easy kill). When they returned to the apartment, they found it in shambles, with Jaws standing over the decapitated corpse of Dirk.

In the aftermath, Randall spent the time trying to comfort Jaws, who was in shock that her teammate had tried to kill her. However, when the explosions began, he left her side to defend her. The General, had picked up a supposed blind woman, who turned out to be a Heretic of Illian. She had already nearly killed him by the time Guiness reached the scene. Her devil dog was about to attack the Reviser, but Guiness attacked it and drew it's attention away. However the thing put him down in the process. Hearing his screams, Jaws joined the fray, taking his sword and attacking the Heretic, who turned around and made her vulnerable to a heart attack from Dick, who had also become a Heretic, that nearly killed her. Infuriated by this second betrayal and recently healed by the Reviser, attacked Dick, but after removing his legs, was set on by the devil dog. In a weak moment, he almost accepted an attempt from Dick to spare his life in return for saving his own from the dog. However, he was struck down before that could happen. Fortunately, though Rebecca, the Heretic, escaped, Lynette came to a timely rescue and slaughtered the dog. Following in her path was Inquisitor MacGuire, who healed everyone in the party but Jaws. Finally after much pleading and squabbling from the group, MacGuire was persuaded to save her life, if only because he got to touch her breasts while doing so. After that battle, the group were retired from the field until their wounds could be healed. As for the mission, no one is sure just what happened to the man they were searching for...
