Have you ever seen the movie Gummo? Well, consider this Gummo: the Animated Series.

There is a lot to be said about Ed, Edd, & Eddy, probably because it hasn't gotten the attention it deserves (or needs.) It's basicly a Peter Pan story. Three boys making their own adventures in a world of cardboard forts, cartoon physics and nonexistent parents. The boys themselves are good, static characters. you know enough about them to understand them and their motivations, but there is enough left to your imagination to let you identify with them. Their antagonists are the same ones you had as a child: annoying siblings, members of the opposite sex who didn't yet know how to express themselves properly, bullies, and all the jerks who thought they were better than you. Even with all of them around, the boys still manage to have some insane adventures. Watching makes one pine for his of her own childhood. As wacky as this show may seem, it is actually quite infectious. My final diagnosis: If you don't like cartoons, approach with caution; otherwise dive right in!
