Last time, Sailor Nature was killed a fierce battle. So was Malachite, who basically made a short cameo appearance. Zoisite was seriously wounded. She retreated back to the Negaverse, where she is recooperating. All of the Sailor Scouts were wounded, and this story picks up after they went under treatment. They are all at their homes now, with only one small problem. You'll find out what it is if you read on.............
Serena and Lita are at Serena's house...
"Lita," Serena said, "I don't think Amy is quite with it."
"And who are you to judge? You're hardly ever---"
"Don't start! Why can't anyone ever take me seriously?!"
"Hey, sorry! So, what makes you think that Amy is out of it?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that she doesn't know my name. Or maybe it's the fact that the doctor said she could have amnesia."
"COULD have. Not DOES have."
"All I'm saying is that we should look after her." Just at that time, Amy came up.
"Hi, Amy," Lita said.
"How do you know my name? I've never seen you before."
Meanwhile, in the Negaverse......
Zoisite sat in her throne, slumped over. She was in a great deal of pain. The last time she remembered feeling pain this great was the last moments of her previous life. She did not know how she had survived the blast from the crystal.
"Queen Zoisite," said a familiar sounding voice.
"Yes," Zoisite said, still unsure of who this was. A dark figure appeared before her. She recognized the figure. It was the figure of Neflite!
"You!"
"Ah, Zoisite. You do remember me. I believe the last time we met, you had a youma kill me."
"How can this be?"
"When Sailor Nature brought Malachite back to life, she did me as well. I advised her not to tell you, for you might get mad, and do something stupid, like kill me."
"And why would that be stupid?"
"If I die, you die." Zoisite had a puzzled look on her face. "You see, Sailor Nature arranged it so that there would be a one-way tie between us. Whatever happens to me, affects you accordingly. If I am hurt, you will feel the pain. If I die, you will die. But, if something were to happen to you, and we wouldn't want that," Neflite said this last part sarcastically, "it would affect me none what-so-ever." Neflite grinned wickedly.
Back in our own universe......
Serena was taking a nap, since she was tired (go figure). Amy still had amnesia, and Mina and Lita were shopping. Not that they had forgotten about Raye (well...), but they decided that they couldn't let that get to them. They would all have to stick really close together if they were going to beat the Negaverse this time.
"Hey Lita," Mina said. "Do you think there's a chance Amy will ever get her memory back?"
"I dunno. Maybe."
"I just hope Zoisite doesn't come back, at least for a little while. We really need to recooperate."
"Don't worry," said an unfamiliar, coarse voice. "She won't bother you." The two girls turned around.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!??!" Mina shouted.
"I'm just...a friend. Let's leave it at that." The man had a wicked smile. "If you really must call me by a name, then call me Maxfield Stanton."
"Well, Maxfield," said Lita. "How do you know about Zoisite?"
"I know all about the Sailor Scouts and the Negaverse. I used to fight for the Negaverse, but now the spell on me has been broken. I feel I can tell you, Sailor Jupiter, that we were once lovers. And now that I am free again, we can be lovers once more."
"W-w-w-what?!"
"Meet me at the old bridge. I will tell you everything there. Come at sundown." Neflite turned around. "Oh, and come as Sailor Scouts." Neflite walked out of the store.
'Soon Sailor Nature's plan will begin it's final phase, and all of Tokyo will be under the Negaverse's rule,' Neflite thought. 'Soon my main enemies will be called the heroes formerly known as the Sailor Scouts.'
