Some people are probably wondering what my opinion is on certain things behind each game series. Well, I decided to put up a page on my opinions
Yes, I'm sure we've all seen them. The cartoons based on video games. Let's see there were:
Ok, first of all, I'd half to say that the cartoon that seemed to be decent & actually were based on the games was SMSS. I liked the theme to that one as well. Even though SMB3 & SMW has the same titles as the games, the plots of the shows didn't seem that good. The plots didn't go well with the games as SMSS did with SMB & SMB2(USA). I also thought the voices matched well. But the live action part was a little mediocre.
As for MM. It was horrible. The cartoon didn't match with the games! The plots were ok, the voices were good, the animation seemed realistic, but it didn't match. MegaMan didn't look like Mega Man, ProtoMan was evil, Rush was goofy, & Eddie was green!
As for STH, it seemed to be ok. Sonic, Tails, & Robotnik matched with the game, but some of the other charactors didn't match. Only Grounder actually came from the game, Scratch & Coconuts were just made up! At least SMSS, SMB3, SMW, & MM took charactors from the games. But STH was better than MM since it matched better.
CN was the most popular of all cartoons based on video games. In fact, I still here people talking about the show & had positive comments. I only saw 1 episode, MegaMan's birthday. It was good, but MegaMan isn't green, nor does he wear covering over his eyes on his helmet. The game was based loosely on Kid Icarus, Metroid, Castlevania, MegaMan, Zelda, & several other NES games.
The last one, PM, is the oldest of them all. It was made by Hanna Barbara. It was good.
So far, I've only seen comics based on Mario. Actually comics. They were made by Valliant(I think Valliant's owned by Acclaim). I used to have one, but lost it when I moved. It was decent.
I've heard about MegaMan comics. I haven't seen any yet, but I've heard about them on the MegaMan Homepage.
Nintendo Power also had comics on Mario World, Super Metroid, & Zelda3. These were good, but didn't have good enough quality. Super Metroid was the best of the 3 series.
Booda, a friend of mine, said that Mario & Mega Man were scammed. They had low quality cartoons & movies. From what I've seen, I AGREE. And nearly does everyone else.
"Super Mario Bros." by Hollywood Pictures was stupid. It ruined the Mario series. The actors were good, but the plot was dumb! Not only that, but while ProtoMan was a badguy in the MM cartoon, Yoshi was owned by Koopa! As if he was part of the evil clan. To top it all off, they deformed Toad & the Goombas in the movie were not real Goombas! Goombas aren't giant reptiles. They are small brown(or red)mushrooms.
I'm sure we've all seen Mario Teaches Typing(MTT), MegaMan(MM), MegaManX(MMX), & Mega Man3(MM3) for PC. The only 4 known games that are based on the series. There is of course, a Mario game downloadable on Download.com & Happy Puppy, but I'm talking about ones bought at the store.
I have MTT. It's good for learning typing. It is fun, but not a main game in the series.
As for MM, MM3 & MMX, I've heard that they aren't near as good as the originals on NES & SNES. In fact, MM & MM3 are totally different games with new robots!
I'm against them for one reason-They are illegal. I read somewhere that it is illegal to have Emuliators, so I've decided not to get any. I may get one for images. I know that you can download the games, copy the imags you want & use them on webpages, & delete the program when finished
Let me say one thing, I hate System Wars. Now a conversation is different, but fight over systems or even games to determine which is better is stupid. We can have civilized conversations over these disagreements.
I also say that the NES & SNES are the best systems & are equal. Neither system is actually better than the other. It's just that the SNES is a NES with advanced graphics basicly.
