Origin: Barry Allen, a Central City police scientist, while working late on a case is accidentally struck by lightning and falls into a batch of various chemicals. When he awakens, he finds that he now has super speed, (his metabolism has changed drastically). Barry decides to use his powers to battle crime after a biker gang kills his brother Jay. With help from Tina McGee, the only person that knows about his special powers, a special suit is designed to withstand the heat generated by Barry's speed, and the Scarlet Speedster is born!
Barry has a Rogues Gallery of villians with whom he does battle. The worst of the worst??

DC comics now has the former Kid Flash, Wally West as the Flash. But, Barry Allen is the Flash as far as I'm concerned. Barry was supposedly killed saving the Universe.
