Mudbath is an indie band from Calgary, Alberta, but we rock all over Canada. We run this page, so if it ain't that great, don't blame us 'cause we're not that computer literate. Check out some articles about us.

Releases

Grass Stains(7")
Our first release, on the record label Jaenine's
boyfriend Shef co-owns, Genesis Records.
On tasty neon green vinyl, one side is pop heaven with
"Miss Me", then the flip side is punker's paradise
with "Deke". Produced by Shef Wilsen (the same
one from Genesis).

Mud Wrestling (CD/LP)
Our first full-length masterpiece. We all
wrote the songs together, and recording it
was a definite blast. It was on Pied
Piper Records, owned by our friend from
art school, Lucy Clemens. Self-produced.

My Favorite Angora Sweater (CD/LP)
Our latest (and perhaps greatest) effort.
"This record should be framed and hung
on the wall" raved Rock Haven Magazine.
It's a split between Genesis Record and
the more popular Eighttrak Records. Produced
by Theo Simosi and us!

We also did a compilation album for Tug
Records called Punk! Punk! Punk!.
Our donation to the album was entitled
"Vixen?", which included Jaenine screaming
'til she's blue in the face. Other
great artists on this compilation include
ForestFire, Twinkletoes, The Red Meats,
and Sorry if It Blows.

All these releases should be available at local indie record stores near you, and where applicable, Indie Streets at Sam the Record Man's.

Coming Soon(we think)....a split 7" with the Sluts on Genesis Records!

Biography

How did 3 music lovin' gals bond together to form a raging force of musical mayhem? Let's delve into the great year of 1994.

The floor was open for a hot punk girlie trio, especially one involving us. We were all the tender age of 19 (which makes us 22 now). Guitarist Jeanine Kriss had just moved from Halifax to the great city of Calgary to stay with her aunt. She immediately met born-in-Vancouver bassist Rachel Effens at an Earpoppers gig. They clicked together and decided to form a band. But what's a band without a kickass drummer? That's where drummer Casey Fenwick comes in. An ad was placed in a local mag begging for a drummer with chops, and Casey immediately applied. So there you got the story of the little band that could.
