Chapter 2
The letter was sent by Taylor and Diana. They had said that Isaac had taken ill.
Not really sick like the flu, but almost like a loneliness sick. He hardly ever sets foot
outside of his bedroom. He either lays on his bed, writes in his notebook, or stares at a
picture of the two of you. They had sent along a plane ticket to Tulsa and invited you to
come down and stay at the house for as long as you wanted. They were hoping that
you could cheer him up.
Mom wasn’t happy with the fact that you wanted leave school for such a long
period of time. But you did end up talking her into it after a shouting match. You had
basically told her this was something you had to do, if not for you, but for him. Isaac
meant so much to you, and still does. You had just had to see him.
You had your bags packed Saturday night and called Taylor to let him know you
would be flying down early in the afternoon on Sunday and what time they would need
to be there to pick you up at the airport. This would be your first flying experience and
you were a little nervous about it. You made sure to pack a few of their CD’s and some
from the oldies collection your Mom had.
That night you had gone to bed but could barely sleep. Just the thought of seeing
Isaac again would be almost too much to handle. You had been thinking a lot since
you left Tulsa back in July and you had been upset with yourself for breaking the
relationship off. Isaac was right, it would have worked. You had loved him too much to
let something come between the two of you. It seemed that almost every night you
would lie in bed at night and constantly think of him. That was one main problem you
had with your grades, you would always find yourself thinking of him and his brothers.
But it was worse after seeing a television appearance. But you would finally get to see
him tomorrow. And you had a whole speech planned out of what you were going to say
to him. And after a few nights of thoughts, you fell asleep and found morning to be
there too soon.
