Chapter 7

"Do you mind if we go to the bike trail and rollerbalde?? That is, if you girls want to rollerblade?" Isaac asks you while you are walking out to his car.

"Sure. Sounds like fun. Um... we left our blades back at the hotel. Mind if you swing by so we can pick them up?"

"No problem. As long as you don't mind going back to our house to pick up ours?" Taylor replies back for his older brother, even though Isaac is the one driving.

"That's fine. What hotel are you staying at?" Isaac questions you.

"We are staying at the Clarion on 78th East Street." Devon informs them.

"Okay. Here you go." Isaac holds the front door of his Chevy Cavalier for you.

Taylor opens up the door behind the passenger seat for Devon. "Hold on. Ike's a real speed demon." Taylor whispers to Devon. And then they both start laughing.

"What is so funny you two??" Isaac asks them.

"Your driving!" Taylor bursts out laughing.

"Nothing is wrong with my driving little brother. And if it is, why do constantly ask me to drive you places?" Isaac looks hurt as he waits for Taylor's answer.

"Because Mom and Dad are always busy with Zoë. Besides Ike, I was just joking! Take a chill pill!" Taylor can tell he has offended his brother's feelings.

"Anyways. What do we want to listen to?" Isaac hands you a pack of CD's to look through.

"How about this?" You hand him Aerosmith's new album.

"Okay. Sounds good." Isaac pops it in the CD player.

You gaze out the window, not paying attention to anything that's going on. And before you know it, you are pulling into the hotel parking lot. Just as you go to tell Isaac where to park, Devon does the duty.

You inform them on which floor your room is on, and then you lead the way. You take the elevator to the top. One by one you file inside the doors. The elevator music is slightly boring so you start gazing around and you notice Isaac is looking at your. As soon as you look up into his brown eyes to make contact, you are up on floor 3.Darn it! Is all you can think. The door open up and they follow you down the hall to your room.

As Devon looks for the extra key in her bag, you take really good notice of Isaac. His hair has just that little bit of curl in it. It is hanging a little in his face as you looks around the hall. His eyes are mysterious and inviting. He has on his black leather coat, even though it is much too hot to wear something that heavy. And then you notice Taylor, standing there staring at Devon. His golden locks are hanging around his face and his blue eyes are piercing. He is standing there with his hands jammed in his pockets and he looks frightened to move.

Finally, after searching, she finds the key. And you are all entering the room. Devon and you go straight to were your blades should be, but they aren't there. Great! You think to yourself, Now what are we going to do?

"Do you have any idea where our skates are?" You ask Devon.

"Sure I do. I think. Didn’t Mom and Dad have them with their stuff? They didn't want us to loose them, remember?” Devon explains.

By this time, they guys sitting on your couch, waiting patiently. Although they appear to be very board, they haven't said much the whole time you are in the room.

"Here they are!" Devon shouts from her parents room.

"You found them?" asks Isaac.

"Right where I thought they were, in that bag with my Dad's blades!" Devon said, "Let's go!"

Next stop is the Hanson house hold. No one is home. Isaac thinks that they all went over to one of Walker's friends house. Devon and you sit in the living room as the guys dash upstairs to get their blades. You take a look around the living room. You see a t.v. with a couch and chairs. Then there is this room of to the side with a couple guitars and a piano. I wonder if Isaac and his dad ever come in here and just jam together. You decide that they probably do and turn your attention back to the stair case. Taylor and Isaac return quickly and you before you know it, you are climbing back in the car and heading to the rink.
