Who We Are

We are an office of Star CNC Machine Tool Corporation, whose
headquarters are in Roslyn Heights, New York. Officially, we are
a satellite office of the Midwest Branch of Star CNC Machine Tool
Corporation, which is located in Elk Grove Village (Chicago),
Illinois. Our office is located in Broadview Heights, Ohio, a
southern suburb of Cleveland, at the facility of Jackson
Machinery, who is our Northern Ohio area dealer.

Star CNC Machine Tool Corporation is owned by Star Micronics,
Ltd., of Japan, and we are responsible for the importation,
sales, and service of the line of CNC Swiss-Type Automatic Lathes
produced by Star's factories in Japan and Germany. These lathes
are high precision, production-oriented machines that specialize
in small parts for the aerospace, commercial aircraft, medical,
dental, and electrical industries, as well as providing job shops
across the nation with machines both very efficient and very
versatile. Our machines are often used for prototype parts as
well, thanks to their ability to do so much in one setup. We have
eight different machine models, all with various capabilities such as
three-dimensional milling, overlapping front and back work
operations, balance cutting, polygon turning, and much more. The
machines range in size, capability, and price from our most basic
3-axis lathes with no live tooling or backworking, starting at
around $70,000.00, to our extremely complex 9 axis machines, with
full Y-axis milling capabilities from both sides of the workpeice
simultaneously, in addition to fully programmable C-axis part
rotation and sub-spindle synchronization, and much more, starting

All of our machines utilize the very latest innovative technology in CNC controls and drive systems, provided by Fanuc Corporation of Japan. Control models currently in use for production are FS-21TA, FS-18TA, FS-18iTA, FS-16TB, FS-16TC, FS-16iTA, and tests are underway with the prestigious FS-160iTA.
Our Purpose
Star Tech Center, Cleveland, is dedicated to providing
"industry-recognized" sales, applications, and service
expertise to the ever-emerging "Swiss-Type"
manufacturing market, specializing in all areas of Ohio and
adjacent states. We have facilities for demonstrations of our
current products, turnkey operations, prove-out runoffs, and
off-site training, all provided by Jackson Machinery, Inc. If you

Applications Engineer
My Key Responsibilities
I am responsible to provide all applications and service
expertise to our customers. This includes demonstrations of floor
models, turnkey and runoff operations, installation of new
machines, training of users, and servicing our product in the
event of a problem.
I carry all the different hats in a special secret briefcase... :)
Almost all of this work is at the customer's facility, so I put on a lot of miles! (This is probably a primary reason for my singleness.)(At least, that's what I like to think.)
