Work in Progress: A James Joyce Website
This huge site offers multitudes of information on Joyce both on site as well as plenty of links throughout. Biographical information is relayed to the visitor by way of a timeline with almost forty entries from 1882-1851. The links section provides links to Joycean articles on the Internet as well as links to Joyce's works online. Maps of Dublin and Joycean interests are useful, and about the only thing not included is a quote section. This site is a must see.

Great looking Web page with lots of information. The biography section is full of information about Joyce's career and personal life. Pictures and artwork are placed throughout the site, including a section with pictures of sites in Dublin. An individual quote section is not present; however, two of Joyce's works are shown in three different languages each. Links section includes over ten other Joyce sites including Joyce's books on the WWW.
James Joyce Centre Dublin
A neat little web page that focuses on the James Joyce Centre in Dublin. The obvious strength and focus of the page is in the pictures and descriptions of the restored townhouse and neighborhood. It was from this neighborhood that Joyce derived much of his inspiration for his novels. The tour does give some biographical information on Joyce, but not a significant amount. Page also gives info on a series of upcoming public lectures on James Joyce from Jan-Mar. Small links section is available.
The ANTWERP JAMES JOYCE CENTER
This page is excellent for research on James Joyce due
to its extensive collection Joyce criticism articles. Online articles
as well as works in progress fill this page and offer the user seemingly
endless sources for argument or support. Pictures are sparse
throughout, and an individual quote section is not available. Nice
links section with related projects included.
The Brazen Head: A James Joyce Public House
This is a very comprehensive site. It includes sections on
films adapted from Joyce's work, a biography section, a page showing
Joyce's influence on both classical and pop music, links to other Joyce
sites, criticism of his works, quotes, options to buy both his works and
audio tapes of Joyce reading his own works, a page showing how Joyce has
influenced other writers, and a long list of images, both photographic
and painted. This site is a great source of information for both the
researcher and the Joyce fan.
Hypermedia Joyce Studies
This site, maintained by Temple University, is a newsletter
published quarterly with recent news about Joyce. Also included on
this page are articles of criticism of Joyce's work. The site offers
links to biographical information and a list of adaptations of Joyce's
work. No images are presented on this page.
International James Joyce Foundation
Put together by the Ohio State University Department of English,
this site contains a vast amount of scholarly Joyce criticism. There
are links to Joyce's works, a Joycean timeline, and a long list of
links to other Joyce homepages. Any visitor can download a membership
form to join the International James Joyce Foundation. Also, there are
dates for upcoming discussions and events related to Joyce.
James Joyce's Portrait of the Artist
This site contains an extensive biography study along with
a lengthy criticism page. Also included on this site are footnotes
to the Viking Press edition of A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man.
One picture accompanies the homepage and no further links are included
here.

specific "learned and stimulating articles on the life and writings of
James Joyce." These articles have biographical information as well as
some artwork in the form of magazine covers. The "back issues" section
offers the visitor the ability to reach this biographical information by
clicking on pictures of the magazine cover desired. There are no exact
quotes on this page, and the links section is very small.

Site contains large amounts of biographical information on Joyce
including many facts about his life and mannerisms. Also included is a
list of books on Joyce's life. The seemingly endless quote section
contains quotes by Joyce himself as well as quotes about Joyce from
writers such as Ellmann. Site contains maps and Pictures of Dublin from
a 1997 tour which are annotated nicely. There is also a little Joyce
quiz for the wearyÄeyed WebÄsurfer! Also great is the huge links section
including sites and EÄTexts.
The Pomona Joyce Page
This page is an excellent resource on Ulysses, the main focus
of the site. The page includes seventeen interpretations and essays on
the many episodes of Joyce's Ulysses. Also includes essays on many of
his other works. There also can be found a section of various quotes
regarding Ulysses. There is no biographical information on Joyce in this
page. A few links are present in the text which relate closely to content
of the site.
