RESISTORS
Resistors are one of the most important electronic components. They control
voltage and current. They can be in series, parallel, or a combination of both.
In a series cirucit the current in every resistor stays the same, but the voltage
is different in each resistor according to the value of that resistor. In a parallel
circuit the voltage is the same in each resistor and the current is the
value that changes due to the value of each resistor. Both instances are applied
to a series-parallel circuit. Pictured above is the schematic symbol and the
actual resistor.
