Athletics Gordon Smyth, Chairman

August indeed was a busy month for our athletics programs. Soccer camp was held the week of August 9th at the Cheviot Field House. Michael Pong, boy wing on Jim Halusek's team was so excited about going to camp that he passed up a trip to Gatlinburg! Judging from the smiles on the camper's faces, I'd say everyone had a great time. Their soccer skills were certainly honed for the upcoming season. We hope to expand this program next year.

The 1999 soccer season is in high gear. This year we have six girl's teams and four boy's teams as well as a lollipop soccer program for players aged 4 and 5. We wish the best of luck to all of our teams and hope everyone has a good time!

Publicity and News Lou Winston, Editor

Our Editor

This may be the last issue of The C.P.A. News for some of our S-Members. Due to cost considerations, we will be culling our mailing list and eliminating the names of people who no longer have children participating in our sports programs. If you do not receive next month's issue, you may keep up with our club via our Internet Web site: www.angelfire.com/oh/cpasoccer and of course you are still encouraged to come to our regular meetings.

I personally know most of the S-Members and hope to see everyone back on our mailing list in the very near future.
