Achilles
Achilles, son of Peleus, was the greatest of the Greek heroes during the Trojan War.
Achilles was invulnerable because his mother, Thetis, dipped him in the river Styx. He could only be hurt in the heel by which she held him.
Achilles was trained in the art of war by Chiron, a centaur of great wisdom.
When he tried to marry Helen, he made a vow that brought him into the war on the side of Menelaus.
During the Trojan War, Achilles was feared by all his enemies, even Hector.
Achilles withdrew from the war when his favorite slave was taken from him. Only when his best friend, Patroclus, was killed did he return.
Achilles killed Hector and tied the body to his chariot and raced around Troy.
When he went to give the body back, he was ambushed by Apollo who shot him in the heel and killed him
