Not Letting Go ~ By Diamond

As she lies awake in her bed,
Late at night...
She remembers their private jokes..
Their special kisses, their loving embraces...
Tears sting her brown eyes,
Feeling sadness crawl back into her heart...
She remembers his promising words,
She remembers their special times,
Her heart aching to hear his voice again...
She's reminded of their last night together,
The special promises they'd exchanged...
Now she wonders, how it all so quickly changed....
She wishes she'd kissed him just one more time,
Before they departed,
Both of them not knowing it would be for a long time,
Their last kiss,
Her mind lingers on that thought,
She felt the tears in her eyes back then,
As they whispered 'Good Bye'...
Neither one of them, wanting to let their hands go...
She'd never said good bye properly,
Now she knows it's was too late.....
Her body shaking...
Her tears hot and running down her face...
She remember the way he'd hugged her..
And wanted it all back again...
The salty tears, slipping onto her trembling lips,
She feels the salt from her tears in her mouth ..
As she remembers his beautiful smile..
Wishing to see it again...
As she closes her eyes,
Willing sleep to come to her,
She sees his smiling face,
Wishing he were still in her life....
