Candle Light ~ By Diamond

The candle light flickering,
As she lay in her bed..
Tears slip from her eyes ..
'Oh sleep, come to me ' ..
Closing her eyes..
She sees that familar face..
The face of the man she loved so blindly,
His face starting to rob her of sleep..
The night passing slowly by ..
Her tired mind aching for rest..

He haunts her,
The minute she closes her eyes ..
She's not strong enough to fight him away,
As she quickly opens her eyes ..
'Your Lover4ever'
He'd written..
His words nothing but a lie ..
He'd broken her heart in two,
Filling her world with confusion and lies ..
As she lays still in her bed ..
She watches the candle flames,
Dancing on the cieling,
And she slowly,
Painfully
Wills herself to sleep...
