Dear Lord I got it again
You know the
*Those ICQ Messages*
Being sent by well meaning friends
Saying:
Pass on this message
or ICQ will delete!!!
Well my new friends panic
and some even cry
thinking they may be deleted
or worse yet!!!
They think their friends
may never see the message
so they pass it on,
again and again and again...
*sigh*
Lord do you have any idea
how sad I sometimes get?
When my friends send messages back to me
Saying:
Please don't pass theses messages to me
They are all a farce!!!
It is something ICQ will never do,
Is delete me or even you,
For not sending a message like that
they have been around since
the beginning of chat.
Now Lord I know my friends must be right
For they are still here on chat tonight.
But for me,
when I see the message appear
In my little message box
Saying:
Pass on this message
or ICQ will delete.
Lord my heart is racing oh so fast
and feels like it skips a beat
My fingers are shaking as they hit the keys
now with tears in my eyes
I have to hit forward
and pass this message on.
Knowing my friends will think I was wrong.
But Lord when you look at it
from my point of view
You will see Lord,
It's the only thing I could do.
For Lord if they deleted me
from this little ICQ box
That would be okie
But Lord the friends I have made here
can never be replaced!
I would loose all of them,and Lord to me
That would be a loss too great you see.
So if they get crazy
when from me they receive
That little message
Saying:

or ICQ will delete.
Please don't let them think so harshly of me
and Lord let them try to understand
It's not just a little ICQ box
In the corner of my screen
But it is a special place
That I keep close to my heart
Filled with my many friends, Lord,
That I've never seen,
But Lord, still so very much loved by me.
So when I hear that

Please Lord let it be,
Just a message from a friend
