You want to know something that really gets me? It's all these web pages out there. Most people, including myself, don't have anything to say. I mean, the internet should be about entertaining people or at least saying something interesting so that we all aren't falling asleep at our consoles.
Do you know what I'm saying? People are putting pictures of their dogs on their pages and stuff. I mean hey, it could be a damn cute dog, but how many people are actually going to want to take the time to click and load a picture of somebody's freaking dog. No offense, but I couldn't give a shit about your dog, ok? Sorry, I've got a cute little Cocker-spaniel myself, but it's not like I carry around a picture in my wallet or god forbid on my web page.
I really appreciate places like Angelfire that give guys like myself a chance to put up a web site for free, but that's pretty much an open invitation for the ipeople of the world to place a site on the internet. Why not just an ad in the newspaper or something? Wanted: Boring-Ass People to place web sites that absolutely nobody will enjoy. If they said that I bet people would think twice about putting a page on.
And then you've got everyone with their favorite links. Gotta love that, right? But what are people's favorite links? Usually their just to other places with links. Here's me linking to some page with other links that go to other Link page until you're all the way back to the first web site. You haven't learned anything and you haven't been entertained, so why even go to a place like that. I'll bet only about two percent of the internet is something useful. The rest is either links to the useful stuff or links to some other crap that eventually gets you to the useful stuff. Who wants to sit there for two hours going from site to site? That's no fun. Why not watch paint dry or grass grow? I can't think of anything more boring than going through people's personal info. It would be nice to know you if you lived near me, but let's face it, you probably don't. You couldn't really give two shits about my life and so I'll spare you my personal details. Do you care anyway? Probably not, if you do, that kind of scares me actually.
And I'll tell you something else, it's only going to get worse. Trust me! More and more people are going to get hooked up to the Net and more and more boring sites are going to get onto the internet. I don't believe how many useless sites their are on the Web now. And there will be many more to come. Many more pictues of dogs, children, grand-children. How much more can I take? Well, I'll wish you good luck now. You're going to need it in order to find something helpful.
