The on-going question.........HOW TO BEAT SEPHIROTH

So you have gone on a seemingly perilous trek, and your mission is bigger, and more is on the line, than you ever thought possible. It's more than money, it's more than respect, It is personal revenge, and now the time has come for the.......FINAL BATTLE! You have braved the sands of the gold saucer, you have felt the heat of the midgar reactor, and you have lost a very close member along the way. Get prepared for the fight of your life.

THE CHECKLIST TO BEAT SEPHIROTH

You will first need to get all of your allies up to or close to 9999 hit points

You don't need to get all of there levels up to 99, if you get and equip them with allot of HP+ materias, they should get to 9999 in no time. Every time you get a level up with those equiped, you will get more hit points. You must make sure that they are in the arrange slots and not the slots with your weapon.

Stock up on x-potions, ethers, potions, hi-potions, and anything that will aid your status(get something that turns you back from a frog).
You NEED to get your barrier magic to MASTER LEVEL (which would be wall)
Make sure that you have the restore materia(CURE) up to cure 3 and regen

To get materias up to MASTER LEVEL, fight around the mideel area to get AP level up

Get everyones Ultimate weapons(see weapons list....it will be the last one on everyones list).

Get the Knights of the Round Materia, the Quadra Materia, the Mime materia, the double-cut materia, Slash-All Materia, Ultima Materia, W-Summon(optional), Master Summon(optional), and Bahamut-ZERO(optional).

HERE IS THE PARTY I USED TO BEAT SEPHIROTH

I used Cloud, Yuffie, and Vincent.
Equip Yuffie with the Conformer, and the double-cut materia, and Cloud with the Ultimate Weapon and the Slash-All Materia.

Now, I am not going to tell you how to equip your other materia's, Summons, or armor. You'll have to figure that out for yourself. Just a hint though, when you are equiping the mime materia, give it to a person other than Cloud, because he usually attacks first, and you don't want him to imitate nothing!
I will tell you another thing too. You may want to equip most of the more powerful materia's(like K.O.R.) with vincent, since his attack power is not the greatest even with the death penalty. The main reason I got him in my party was because of his limit breaks(they are extremely cool, especially CHAOS).
