Areas of expertise
- Performance
- Voice
- When I began my vocal training at age 11, I was learning classical, choral, standard, & broadway musical tunes. I aquired a private vocal coach--Michele Horsefield--at age 13, when I started participating in the State OMEA Contest. My "record" out of 16 pieces I took to competition in my high school career was: Rating I (highest)--4 solo & 8 group; Rating II--4 groups. This rating system I-IV)
In college, I spent one year in Cincinnati studying at the College Conservatory of Music (CCM) at Univerity of Cincinnati, gaining experience in performance & technically-challenging pieces.
After college, I performed with several local bands as a fill-in -- one of which was a County/Oldies duo that needed me on 2 weeks notice & I learned 15 new tunes. I have worked in rock, blues, country, oldies, & cover bands also.
In 1991, I started hosting Karaoke full-time...I continue to do this on a fill-in basis.
Currently, I am working on getting a band together. I am not quitting my day job & am looking for same. Nights & weekends are best time to rehearse & write. I have written a lot of lyrics with no instrumentals. I play hand drums (Bongos, Djembe,...), tambourine, kazoo & am imitating a harmonica player (not very well yet, admittedly...) at the moment.
My philosophy on music : It has brought so many people together in so many ways, maybe because the greatest bands have always had members with differing backgrounds. Otherwise, you either hit a dead end, or end up plagarizing... Or not.

- Drama
- Modeling
- In 1992, I attended a course in modeling at John Robert Powers Modeling School & was immediately offered a job as an instructor at the school. I taught women & men, ages 06-54. The areas covered were makeup, photo posing, fitness, etiquette, hair styling & color, runway, and basic drama/commercial acting. I had 3 of 3 graduating classes & only one student did not graduate with the group (due to non-payment of fees).
For the following 3 years, I specialized in hair syle & color modeling for Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, & Redken products & Stylist Education classes put on by Goldwell.
Currently, I use these skills to help women improve their "business images." I have plans to market my talent, so if you have interest in this as a client or an instructor, please e-mail me below.
