Culture Shock -Part 2-
"And if you look to your left, you will see our display of Cro-Magnon man," Jacquie explained, watching the boys who joined her group. Even though they were constantly asking her lame questions, they made her laugh. A hand shot into the air and Jacquie rolled her eyes. "Your question?"kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com"Um, yeah. Did Cro-Magnon man have pets?"
"What?" Jacquie was stunned as the short southern boy who asked the question laughed.
"Did he, like, keep a saber toothed tiger around just for kicks?"
"It's not likely," Jacquie answered seriously. "I'm sure he wouldn't have been able to catch or tame the wild cat."
He cracked up laughing and nudged the tall blonde beside him. "She said 'Wildcat'."
"You'll have to excuse," said the tall, dark-haired man that was with them. "They were both dropped on their heads as small children."
"I see," Jacquie raised an eyebrow and grinned as she moved the group on.
"Honestly, they usually aren't like this." Extending his hand, he continued. "I'm Kevin. The one asking the idiotic questions is Brian, my cousin. The tall one is Nick, Mr. Inconspicuous in the shades is AJ, and this one is Howie." Kevin pointed out each one of his friends.
When no signs of recognition crossed their guide's face, Howie spoke up. "You may know us as the Backstreet Boys."
Jacquie's brow wrinkled before her eyes widened. "Oh, yeah! Okay, I have your CD. Good stuff," she commented.
As Kevin started to speak again, she stopped him. "And here we have a replica of the inside of Cro-Magnon man's home. It's small, but as you can see, it served its purpose well."
A hand shot up and Jacquie knew she was in for a long tour.

Aaron wandered into the gift shop and his gaze landed on the beanie babies. Rushing to the display, he started searching through them. A tall girl with mulberry-colored hair that was pulled back in a loose ponytail walked up to him. She wore a black medium length skirt with a red satin shirt, and her nametag read Alexandra.
"Can I help you, sweetie?"
"Do you have any new beanies?" He asked politely.
"I'll sure look for you," she said going back behind the counter. "Which ones are you looking for?"
"Osito and Flutter."
Alexandra browsed through the stuffed animals on display behind the counter as two more people walked into the gift shop. "Hello, there," she greeted them.
"Hi," the young woman smiled.
"There he is," Miranda whispered, hiding behind Nikki, so the boy couldn't see her.
"I see that," Nikki grinned. "Now what are you going to do?"
Frowning, Miranda muttered, "I don't know."
Bending down, Nikki ran her hand over the girl's soft hair. "Why don't you go ask him what he's looking for? Just start a conversation about beanies," she suggested, trying to conceal her amusement over the young girl's serious expression.
"Okay," Miranda replied, bounding off.

"Hi!" Miranda walked over to Aaron.
"Hey," he replied, glancing up.
"Looking for on in particular?" She asked with a shy smile.
"I was looking for some of the new ones and then I was just looking to look, you know?" He said, brushing the hair out of his eyes. <> Miranda sighed, not believing she was this close to her crush. "Yeah.. What new ones?"
"Osito and Flutter," he turned to look through the pile of toys again.
"I have both of those," she exclaimed.
"Really?" Aaron spun to face the girl fully. "Where did you get them?"

"Awww... young love," the cashier leaned on the counter by Nikki.
Nikki chuckled. "Tell me about it. She spied him and then dragged me all over the museum following him."
"Wow! Now that's love at first sight," commented the redhead.
"She's liked him for awhile." Nikki pointed at the little blonde. "That boy right there is Aaron Carter. He's a singer and Miranda loves him." They watched the two kids clustered by the toys. "By the way, I'm Nikki."
"Alexandra," she said shaking Nikki's hand. "So that kid is famous?"
"Yeah, he's got a couple of albums out."
"So when did your daughter first discover him?" Alexandra asked curiously.
"Oh, she's not my daughter. Her mom is my best friend, so I'm like an aunt to her. I thought I'd bring her to the museum today to show her a little culture," Nikki started flipping through a rack of postcards.
"That's so cool. I'm glad to hear that people still feel the need to pass a little history onto the younger generations."

"This place is getting old," Aaron was done looking at the beanie babies.
"I know," Miranda sighed putting down the frog she was holding. "I'd rather be at the Hard Rock Cafe or something. My idea of fun is definitely not the museum."
Aaron's eyes glittered with mischief. "The museum can be fun. Come on, I'll show you." He grabbed Miranda's hand and pulled her out of the shop.
