Tony Chase's tag team partner DJ Payne gave Chase the Cruiserweight title as a gift and awarded Chase the WTF Cruiserweight Championship. The WTF Championship Committee accepted Chase as the first WTF Cruiserweight Champion.
On April 27, 2004 in Union City, NJ, Tony Chase won the WTF Light-Heavyweight Title by defeating Speed Demon as the WTF Cruiserweight Title in a Unification Title Match. So the WTF Light-Heavyweight Title is unified with the WTF Cruiserweight Title.
Tony Chase was stripped of the title and The Descending Angel(Formally known as Lord Azriel)won the title by defeating Brandon Resto, Sugar Sean Sanchez, Samson, Romeo and Greatness a six way "Ghetto X Match on October 14th, 2006.
