She looked over at him as discreetly as she could. She didn't want him to notice that she was studying his tall, slender form. Beautiful... she sighed the word out in her mind and then shook her head in effort to stop the feelings that were weaving their way through her body. What, is he 17, maybe 18 years old? she thought again. She at "30something" couldn't allow for these kinds of feelings to overtake her. Yet, she couldn't stop her eyes from traveling his length. From the sun glinting off of his shining au-blone hair, to the way he seemed to curve in way that was reflected more in a woman, to his long legs clad in tight black denim.

"Stop it!"

she shouted unsure if she had said it out loud or not. She was astonished enough at the thoughts and her blatant want to check him out as he stood with his back to her talking on his cell phone. She was alerted to the fact that she had indeed spoken aloud as he turned around with an inquisitive look on his stunningly beautiful face. His blue eyes danced as he smiled at her.

"Something the matter?"

he inquired of her. She shuddered once again, confusion sweeping over her. Was she shaky because he had heard her or was it due to the way he seemed to smile and just know what she was thinking? She closed her eyes again. Caught was all she could manage to think. She had to get away, car or no car. She braced herself for the chase and suddenly broke into a sprint that caused his eyes to widen as he began to run after her.

She didn't want him to come after her or did she? She was so confused! She did know that she wanted to be home in bed, watching the TV shows that she liked best, fan going and her fluffy white cat Swipsey laying contentedly next to her. She couldn't stop herself from running despite his voice sounding worried and even a slight bit agitated.

She ran with her heart hammering, her mind unfocused and her eyes partially closed. She didn't notice the crack in the sidewalk, didn't hear as he yelled for to stop before she got herself hurt damnit! Too late, she realized there was an actual danger and not an attempt to get her to stop just so he could bombard her with questions.

With a shocked gasp, she tried to put the brakes on her own two feet just seconds before he reached his hand out to pull her back. Missing by a mere inch or so, he watched as she stumbled on the crack, lurched forward and fell in an awkward heap on the concrete, knocking the wind out of her...
