Suikoden

Ok, for any of you who have no idea what Suikoden is, it is one of the greatest RPG's of all time. It ranks up there with any game out there, including Final Fantasies, Chrono Trigger/Cross, and Secret of Mana.
One of the things that made this game so amazingly cool was the whole concept of the 108 stars of destiny. You can find and recruit up to 108 characters to travel with you in your party. Each one has their own special weapon and strengths.
Also, Suikoden employs a 6 person party, the largest i've ever seen in any RPG to date. You enter commands for a round and watch them fight it out in real time. And the characters actually hit the enemies! It is very awesome. Also, there are different combos that your party can do, depending on it's members and their formation in the party.
A third cool aspect of this great game is that the more people you get, the larger your headquarters becomes. And certain people perform certain jobs in your castle. There's a gambler guy, a couple marchants, a bunch of blacksmiths, an appraiser, and a runemaster, and an innkeeper. But everyone you find in your journey that you recruit stays at your HQ.
Finally, this is all i can think of at the moment, there are a number of battles in the game where you control a whole army against another army. You give commands to the army and they attack, cast magic, shoot arrows, or do a special attack. It is one of the most fun aspects of the game. Also, there are one on one duels between the main character and the enemy generals (also, watch for the fight between Pahn and General McDohl).
These are just some of the reasons that Suikoden is such a great game. Everyone should play it and beat it. I highly reccomend this game to anyone who has ever played or wanted to play an RPG.
