A lot of interest has been made to the Kurt Angle-Rob Van Dam match a few weeks ago where Kurt Angle's lip and chin was badly opened up by a 360-leg drop by Rob Van Dam to Kurt Angle who was laying on the announcing table. Apparently the cut itself wasn't minded by Kurt Angle because it could have happened with anyone executing the move Van Dam attempted. He was however angry with Rob Van Dam being dead-weight for his suplex attempts in which Angle threw RVD on his head to send him the message. Conflicting reports state RVD had asked Angle to drop him on his head in such a violent manner for the brutal effect that goes along with ring phsychology. Whatever the case may be, Kurt Angle and Rob Van Dam have become pretty good friends backstage and Kurt Angle has apparently asked for a long-term feud with Rob Van Dam because he enjoys working with him.

Rob Van Dam has continued to ruffle feathers backstage by keeping the bloody streak going. RVD has busted open opponents continuesly week after week, and it's definately not smiled upon in the backstage area. If he continues this reputation of being a careless worker, many of the political leaders in the WWF (Undertaker, Stone Cold, Triple H, etc.) may use their politcal power to hold him down. Although that is nowhere near confirmed, it's definately something that could take place if RVD doesn't adjust his style accordingly.
-RVD opened up Kurt Angle's nose terribly at last night's WWF SmackDown! and WWF Sunday Night Heat tapings. It appeared to be from a stiff kick to the nose of Kurt Angle courtesy of RVD's kick-boxing style of performing. Reportedly, the nose at first was thought to have been broken, but later confirmed to have no break. However, lots of blood spilled from the nose of Kurt Angle.
-This continues to rack up quite a list of wrestlers RVD has cut in the small time he has been with the promotion. The list currently consists of: Kurt Angle (twice), Chris Jericho (twice), "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Test, and Raven who's head was recently opened by Kurt Angle and required staples to close the laceration.

Stone Cold Steve Austin's mystery partner tonight will be voted on by the Alliance. This heavily teases a Rob Van Dam/Austin versus Kurt Angle and his mystery opponent which is not known as of this time. One would think that the ending of this match will occur when either RVD or Austin "accidentally" hits each other causing them to take the loss.

Take it as a rumor at this time, but it is rumored that RVD will take on Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Title!

When the WWF had came in negotiations with Rob Van Dam, they signed him a deal with WCW Inc., a subsidiary of World Wrestling Federation Inc. Apparently, the WWF has recently switched his contract to WWFE contract. The WWF hasn't done this to any other member from the Alliance that have been previously wrestling for the WWF. This could very well give another sign regarding RVD's rumored switch to WWF. Reportedly, the WWF views RVD as the top baby-face "megastar" in the Alliance.

The main event for No Mercy has been announced to be a triple threat match pitting Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Rob Van Dam vs Kurt Angle for the WWF Title. This should be a very interesting match.

Rob Van Dam has earned the reputation for being reckless in the ring. With his unorthodox style of wrestling, he increases the possibility of injuries both to himself, and his opponents. Everyone knows by now that RVD busted Kurt Angle's mouth and chin up on SmackDown! two weeks ago, but there's more to his recklessness than stiff kick from that particular match alone. Apparently he was being dead weight for Kurt Angle's suplexes, which basically means he doesn't bring himself over to execute the suplex bump. In so many words he forced Kurt Angle to muscle himself over which resulted in Angle giving RVD two stiff suplexes in that match to send RVD the message. Kurt Angle was very vocal after the match with RVD's carelessness. Van Dam is also responsible for opening cuts on Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, and Test since his arrival to the World Wrestling Federation. Although RVD has improved on his backstage behavior, many don't see Van Dam lasting in the WWF despite his popularity if his reckless style of performing continues.

With RVD's victory over the Rock on Raw, RVD now has victories over the big 3 in wrestling, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle. RVD is rapidly becoming one of the fastest rising stars in the industry today.

Kid Ka$h maybe getting a WWF contract. Ka$h had appeared back stage to hang out with RVD, and the WWF asked for some tapes, than he gave him a trial match before a Smack Down! It is now being said that the WWF loved his match and with the pull of RVD he may get a contract.

Speaking of Triple H, the Rob Van Dam-Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley segments will be paired up on a long-term basis until the return of Triple H.

The only other plan for Steve Austin is to work something with Rob Van Dam, since the WWF appears to be building friction as to who the real leader of the Alliance is. This stemming from several Alliance members coming to RVD for advice, RVD's pinfall victory over Austin, and the obvious heat (on-air) between the two. Rob Van Dam has had the majority of the main-event slots on RAW and SmackDown! in the past week giving off the impression of being a main-event caliber star.

RVD defeated Y2J in what is being said to be the greatest Hardcore match in the history of the title! The match resembles the old ECW matches no rules but not alot of wepons. RVD displayed his split-legged moonsault, Vandaminator, and the 5 Star Frogsplash to retain his Hardcore Title.
9-22-01
RVD will do battle with Y2J at Unforgiven in a Hardcore title match as it stands right now Y2J does have a victory over RVD but I am expecting to see RVD 5 Star Frogsplash his way to another win.
9-19-01
There is talk that the WWF will limit RVD from doing moves that could in turn “endanger” other wrestlers.
Austin went out of the way to put RVD over after their most recent match, calling him back down to the ring and working an “impromptu” spot.
9-18-01
Once RAW is WAR went off air, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin said "I would have won the match if I had a good partner. Austin then challenged RVD. The two fought and it ended when Van Dam hit the five star frog splash and counted the pin himself. RVD then left the ring. After RVD left the ring Austin did some lengthy mic work which included him singing and running down people in the crowd before he left.

Looks as if the WWF has decided to part from the idea of splitting up Rob Van Dam and Steve Austin/Alliance. Instead they've appeared to have taken a comedic route which will probably hint at a split of the two sometime further down the road. With Rob Van Dam's comments on Alliance members asking him for favors, it may show Steve Austin being stranded from the Alliance sometime down the road with Rob Van Dam taking the place of the leader of the squad. This is all still very early to tell with many side-tracks and obstacles yet to be put forth on WWF television.

Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho feuds should be set on the show as they are arguably the two biggest names yet to show any sign of a feud for Unforgiven. It is possible the two will start a feud with each other.
9-13-01
RVD and Booker T are a boost to locker room morale, because those two men have become assets to the WWF and having new top stars helping draw at the arenas helps everyone from the top of the card to the bottom.

The biggest rumor floating around the Internet right now is that Rob Van Dam will jump ship to the WWF. Sources believe RVD could interfere in the Angle/Austin WWF Title match at Unforgiven, causing Austin the belt. This would allow Austin to control the match in the beginning, until RVD does a run-in and helps Angle win the title.
9-12-01
As seen on RAW, both Tazz and Rob Van Dam could possibly be headed down the WWF route. They both hinted at leaving the Alliance with their promo's cut on Steve Austin. Tazz could very well be out of the Alliance soon to feud with Stone Cold given Austin's feud with Kurt Angle concludes at Unforgiven. Rob Van Dam on the other hand may hint at the jump to WWF in the proceeding weeks to build it up, much like Tazz already has in the past few weeks.
9-10-01
RAW is WAR is expected to focus heavily on the RVD/Stone Cold story line, following SmackDown!'s encounter between the two Alliance members. Due to the relatively low rating of Tuesday's SmackDown! edition, it's vital that this particular story line reaches a climax of some description shortly.

RVD defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin at Smack Down! After a hard fought battle inclueding a VanDaminator on Austin, Austin had the match won with the Stunner but then Kurt Angle's fireworks went off distracting Austin and allowing "Everybody's Favorite Wrestler" to get the roll up and the victory.

I am beging the WWF to just choose an angle they want for RVD they have him involved in three feuds at the moment; with Y2J, Raven, and Jeff Hardy. On a personal note I am hoping they have him fued with Y2J so that we can see who has more fans RVD(of Course) or Y2J.

Tonight on RAW, Chris Jericho will team up with Jeff Hardy to take on the team of Rhyno and Rob Van Dam. The WWF apparently feels that putting these four men in a major tag team battle on RAW will be used as a "warmup" match for two separate matches at Unforgiven. Over the past few weeks, the WWF has been pushing the four heavily in hopes that they would become more over with the fans. Tonight's match is only the stepping stone for long Y2J/Rhyno and Jeff Hardy/Rob Van Dam feuds leading into Unforgiven and beyond.

Rhyno and RVD's transition from ECW to the WWF has been a major success. Both superstars have settled into the federation well, and have proven to be two of the toughest competitors to grace a WWF ring. Rob Van Dam is already one of the biggest WWF fan favorites, with producers even having to edit the SmackDown! tapings because of this. Apparently, the WWF had to dub "Rocky, Rocky" chants over parts of the crowd noise, during the scuffle between The Rock and RVD. This was because the majority of the crowd were infact chanting "RVD, RVD".
9-1-01
Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam will be starting a singles feud after back-to-back tag team matches on opposing sides. The two are set to build up a feud, which would give Rob Van Dam his first high-caliber athelete in the WWF to have a singles feud with. This could also show RVD getting some microphone time in the WWF to better develop his character. The two will more than likely build a feud leading into Unforgiven.

RVD will be pushed more as a heel in the near future. The WWF aren't ready to push RVD to the next level which would have to happen due to his amazing popularity, and are contemplating an angle to turn him fully fledged heel, possibly after a short lived face turn. It's been conceeded that sooner or later he will have to be pushed as one of the top faces in the company, but for now see him as one of the main reasons that make the Alliance a believeable threat to the WWF. He will be working a short program with Chris Jericho in the meantime, and with the services of Stephanie McMahon (which go hand in hand with any Jericho opponent), it's hoped that will be the perfect remedy to secure RVD's status as a heel, for now..
