Get yo ass home
It wasn't too long ago that we met
Playing around in a chat room on the internet
We seemed to "lol" at each other's jokes
Somehow our text stood out from the other folks
It just so happens we are both in rough shape
But in our private chat sessions we find our escape
That led to phone calls and a real voice to hear
Now instead of our eyes, we have each other's ears
Laughing a lot seems to help our ill feelings
It certainly aids the way of my healing
So do the little green pills I take when we talk
With a phone in my ear at the wall I just gawk
Then usually we'll meet back up online
You'll take your meds after I've already had mine
And we'll chat until the screen splits in two
And I'm yelling at the monitor as if it were you
I'll giggle and watch as our typing slurs
Or maybe it's me as my vision blurs
A minute of silence might show up here and there
As we both shortly drift off without a care
Then finally you'll say it's too much, you must go
As much as it upsets me I really do know
That you're too out of it to carry on anymore
I can tell when you say you're typing from the floor
I've had loads of fun since we began to chat
You've made me forget about this awkward metal hat
And I hope that I have helped you as so
Just think, we've only twelve steps to go
(I'm having a ball with every minute we speak, until next time…)
