I have valiantly defended your lack of concern to everyone who has pointed it out
I have taken the liberty of excusing your actions or lack thereof
During my glossing of your name I came to realize something:
Everyone else was correct, and I have been the poor blind fool
For years we have been bonded like a nail through a wooden board
Everyday a conversation which left parted lips at it's end
And then came tragedy, misfortune of mine
And you disappeared like a thief slipping into the shadows of an alleyway
My heart still beats for you,
But this will not be forgotten.
