Our candles do not sit on shelves for months or years; your candles will be handmade especially for you when you place the order. The Spotted Hog Candles are the most even burning and highly scented Candles available. The burning
characteristics are truly remarkable. The Spotted Hog Candles are not only hand crafted
better, but they are guaranteed never to tunnel or canyon like other candles. One candle fills multiple rooms with fragrance. We use only the finest wax and fragrance oils in our candles.

If you are unhappy with any service or product of ours, please inform us of the situation. Your complaint will be handled on an individual basis. We take great pride in all of our hand made candles and strive to provide you with outstanding customer service. We have one of the best shipping deals around! You may order as much as you like for flat rate as low as $10.85* to anywhere in the continental USA. Restrictions apply, please see our new flat rate shipping tier. One address only per order please. We do not ship outside the US and do not ship to freight forwarders. Every candle is made especially for you upon placing the order, we work very hard to get your packages out as fast as we can. Orders may take up to 10-15 business days to complete depending on the size of the order. (Please note during our busy season orders may take longer to fill.) Once your order is complete we ship packages Fedex Ground insured(for most packages) , *USPS 2-3 day Priority mail or USPS Parcel post *uninsured with an average delivery time of 3-5 business days. (* Excluding weekends, holidays and the time it takes to fill your order.)
Delivery time will vary depending on your location. Once your package has shipped you will get a tracking number emailed to you. If you do not receive one please contact us.
Please note that tracking numbers from the USPS web site will not give you the location of your package step by step. It will only show that the package has shipped and when it arrives to your door. The postal service does not guarantee transit times for Priority mail. 9/3/2012 ~ Orders totaling over $250.00 will be charged an additional $5.00 per shipment for a REQUIRED SIGNATURE as per new credit card and shipping carrier regulations. It is your responsibility to request and purchase a physical signature confirmation if you feel warranted for any order under $250.00. Delivery confirmation is automatically included for all packages and is final. No replacements, refunds or reversal of charges will be issued for claims of non receipt with a confirmed delivery scan by the carrier as per credit card terms and terms of this website/ online store. ~ Thank you for your understanding.
New Low Flat Rate Shipping Prices:
Updated 5/03/2019~ Even lower flat rate shipping. As a courtesy to our customers we've lowered our shipping charges and expanded the tier subtotals so you pay less freight for more product. Please note that the prices below are significantly discounted compared to what we actually pay the shipping carriers. Glass jars are heavy and are very expensive to ship across the country.

$120.01 - $175.00 = $15.85
$175.01 - $250.00 = $19.85
$250.01 -$350.00 = $24.85
$350.01 and up = $40.00

We have never received a complaint or have had incidents of our candles melting during transit in our 18+ years of shipping year around all over the country.
If you live in a state that reaches extremely high temperatures please plan ahead and place your orders in the cooler months or try schedule someone to be home to receive the package to bring it into your home or office. Just as a precaution if you live in a warm state we will ship your order on a Monday or Tuesday to insure you receive it with in the week or send it *Priority mail depending on the size and weight of the order.
Due to numerous requests we are now accepting international orders. If you are outside the continental US and would like to place an order you may now do so through our website. Our shopping cart will not configure shipping charges and a separate Paypal invoice with exact shipping* will be sent to you upon completion of your order. This invoice must be paid in full before we ship your package. For an estimate on shipping please visit the USPS website or contact us for a shipping quote. We are utilizing USPS flat rate boxes to make shipping charges more cost effective. Feel free to contact us to determine how much will fit in the flat rate box.

*We only accept US funds. Please note that we will add any currency conversation fees and or international transaction fees if applicable to your invoice plus a $1.00 invoice fee that we incur from Paypal. These fees will be itemized on your invoice if they apply. You are responsible for all additional government taxes, customs fees or duties that your government may charge for goods upon delivery of your package. To streamline internationals shipments and the customs paperwork involved we will only mail packages that are shipping outside the US on or about 1st and 15th of every month.
Shopping cart,Payments and Adding to an existing order:
We use a secure Paypal shopping cart for your ordering convenience. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, Bill me Later and Electronic checks. Please note that an Electronic check is treated as a regular check. Orders will not ship until funds are cleared, usually about 3-7 days. (A $25.00 charge will apply for returned checks.)
We feel Paypal is the safest and most efficient shopping cart for our customers. Payment in full is charged to your account upon completing the check out process. We do not put holds on your account for funds when the order is placed, then charge your card when your order ships. We do not have access or keep your personal or credit card information on file as added security for our customers. If you decide to add anything to your existing order you must go thought the secure web site shopping cart again. Usually we can refund you for the second shipping charge pending your order did not ship and will fit in the same box as the original order : )
Due to the overwhelming requests for samples of our products we can no longer provide free samples. If you would like to try our products before ordering, we recommend ordering smaller size candles through our secure shopping cart. We offer a free 2oz sample tart of your choice with any order over $30.00 prior to shipping charges~ Valid one free sample per order. Please view the incentive tab for details.
The Spotted Hog Candle Company will not sell, rent or trade e-mail addresses or disclose any personal information belonging to our valued customers, we respect your privacy and appreciate your business.
Shipping Announcement: To better serve our customers most orders are now shipping via UPS/FedEx and are now automatically insured for loss or damage up to $100.00 at no additional expense to our customers. US Priority mail domestic shipments are insured free for up to $50.00. Customers can now track their shipments and will be given an expected delivery date of when they can expect their orders to arrive. Please note that UPS does not ship to PO boxes so please be sure to provide a physical address when checking out.
* If you are located in Alaska, Hawaii or have an off shore APO address your order will have to ship USPS priority mail or parcel post (our option). For those customers please see the “add insurance” link located on the bottom of the web site pages if you wish to have your order insured.
For USPS priority and parcel post shipments insurance is not included and is the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for damaged, lost or uninsured packages.
Please inspect your shipment when you receive it. We make every effort to ensure your order arrives safely; we pack every shipment in accordance with the shipping carriers packing guidelines. If in the unlikely event that you receive a damaged shipment, please report it to us immediately by email to email@example.com or call us, our phone number is located on the box. Please save the original box and packing materials to show the FedEx/UPS inspector. FedEx/UPS requires that any damaged merchandise is reported with in 3 days of shipment arrival. If you do not report damage with in this time frame, the carrier will not honor the insurance claim on the package and your broken items can not be replaced. Proof of damage is required no exceptions:
To start the damage claim process please email a photo of damage to the item and box to firstname.lastname@example.org We replace broken items, No cash refunds are given.
If your order was shipped via Priority mail or Parcel post and *insurance was purchased by you for the package* (note: USPS domestic packages are automatically insured for $50.00) simply take the complete contents of the package including: The box we shipped it in, all merchandise and all packing material into your local post office for the post master to inspect the damages. You will need to take your receipt that was emailed to you at check out to show the value of the contents and proof of insurance.The postmaster will reimburse the value amount for damaged contents at the counter.
Returns and Exchanges:
We do not accept returns or make exchanges under any circumstances. No exceptions. All candles are custom made therefore we do not accept returns. Payments for all purchases including - Postage, Retail purchases, Case, Bulk purchases, label set up fees and or Wholesale orders and cancellation fees are non refundable. All sales are final. Items shipped to us without authorization will be refused. We do not exchange our products or give refunds if a candle scent or color shade is not to your liking. If you are unsure of a particular scent please order a smaller size candle first before purchasing a large quantity of a certain scent.
Order Discrepancies :
If in the unlikely event you receive an incorrect item ,missing or damaged merchandise please report it to us immediately so we can correct the issue as quickly as possible. After 72 hours from delivery, we will conclude that your order was completed accurately and no refunds or exchanges will be excepted after that time.
*Incorrect items must be returned in unused, undamaged condition in its original packaging for exchange. A return authorization and RA number is required and can be obtained by emailing us at email@example.com.
*Refused or Non-Delivered orders - will be billed to you, actual shipping charges plus any and all penalty fees incurred by the carrier - to and from - as well as a 40% restocking fee.

If for any reason you need to cancel your order, a 20 % cancellation and restocking fee will be deducted from your total.You may only cancel your order within 24 hours of the order being placed. After the 24 hour period, your order will be sent out as originally requested by you the customer, and no refund will be issued. There are no exceptions. Please see our current processing time located on this page,our home page, newsletter, contact us page and thank you pages. Be aware that orders will take anywhere from 10-15 business days to complete depending on the season and order volume, this does not include transit time.

Due to the overwhelming request for our candles, we are not accepting additional wholesale accounts at this time.
The Spotted Hog Guarantee:
Here at the Spotted Hog we stand behind the quality workmanship of our candles. Providing you follow our proper burning instructions, We guarantee our candles will be strongly scented, clean and even burning with no wasted wax. In the unlikely event you receive a defective candle due to manufacturing please contact us immediately. We will then send you a Return Authorization Number. Once you receive the authorization number promptly repackage your items taking care to package them securely and send them back to us Priority Mail within 10 (ten) days of receipt. When we receive your returned items we will inspect them and then reimburse payment for the item with in 30 (thirty days).
Terms and conditions of guarantee:
The Spotted Hog Candle does not pay or reimburse ANY shipping and handling on returned items unless we find the product defective upon inspection.
Insurance is recommended on packages as we can not be responsible for loss or damage. Returns will not be accepted without a return authorization number. Candles that are burned are not returnable. Candles may not be returned if the fragrance is not to your liking. We do not make exchanges, substitutions of a scent or send out a replacement with out first receiving and examining the defective candle in question. In an event we agree to replace merchandise, we will send out exactly what you purchased initially, no substitutions of size or scent. Candles may not be returned if the candle color is not to your liking as color batches will vary and is not considered defective. Upon inspection if we find the candle is not defective and problem was due to customer misuse and or not following proper burning instruction no refund will be issued, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to you.
In the event an item is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the product listed at the incorrect price. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
Our shopping cart is not configured to recognize if your order total actually qualifies for any of the promotions or incentives we may have running from month to month. Please make sure your order qualifies for any of the free/sale items we may offer. If your order does not qualify for an incentive but you added it to your shopping cart,that item will not be included with your order. Candlefind incentives can not be combined with our Newsletter incentives. Please only choose one promotion.
If you ordered multiple free samples, only one will be included with your order and you will be refunded for any additional selections added to the cart. Thank you for your understanding : )
Out of Stock Items:
We do not backorder or ship items separately. Out of stock items are marked OUT OF STOCK or SOLD OUT next to the product price and will show up as $0.00 if accidently added to your cart. This does not mean the product is free : ) It is so you are not charged for an item we do not have and can not fulfill. Please check back often to see when the item is back in stock to purchase it at a later time.
1. The Spotted Hog Candle Company is not responsible for - incorrect e-mail or postal address. Please take care in including apartment numbers and complete street addresses. No changes to an address will be made, it is your responsibility to input your correct address during check out.
2. The Spotted Hog Candle Company will not be responsible for -damaged candles due to delivery mishandling or lost/missing/stolen packages. Additional insurance and signature confirmation options are offered on this site at an additional expense for shipments selected for FedEx, UPS, USPS Priority mail, International services and or Parcel Post. You agree to waive physical signature confirmation and accept scanned delivery confirmation by the carrier as proof of delivery in any and all non receipt claims by you unless you request and purchase a signature confirmation from this site.
3. The Spotted Hog Candle Company shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages or losses of any kind due to your use of any product purchased from The Spotted Hog Candle Company. In any case, our maximum liability to you is the amount you paid for the product.

Trademark infringement and unfair competition under both state and federal law, including the Lanham Act, (15 U.S.C. §§ 1051-1127) grants remedies for such infringement which can include payment of actual and treble damages, recovery of profits, reimbursement of attorney’s fees, and also include injunctions against further use of the Infringing Trademark and the seizure and destruction of infringing materials.The Trademark Counterfeiting Act of 1984, 18 U.S.C.A. 2320 defines certain forms of trademark infringement as "trafficking in counterfeit goods", made punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and a $250,000.00 fine.
