A quick comment:      Back to G-1: Review A-VIII     Teletran-1

This is my first Hound.  I bought it on Aug. V, Mmiv and it cost me $XXXV from Image Anime.  Thank God they re-issued him again because back in the old day there was no way I could afford him.  So now, he's part of my toy collection.

R-0 Original Hound's motto and tech specifications:

Affiliate: autobots | Subgroup: none | Function: scout | Alt. Mode: J59 jeep|

| STR 5 | INTL 8 | SPD 5 | ENDN 7 | RNK 6 | CRG 10 | FRPW 3 | SKL 9 |

Original G1 Hound Motto:

"Observed everything, remember even more. "

Original G1 Hound Bio:

Hound loves the natural wonders of Earth, prefers it to Cybertron.  Brave, fearless, loyal.  Secretly desires to be human.  Uses turret gun as radar scope, infrared radiation collector.  Tracks machines as well as humans.  Hologram gun projects 3-demensional grid laser-light topographical maps.  Vulnerable to thermal and electromagnetic interference.

These images were all photographed and scanned by me.  If you're a Transformers fan, this will definitely bring back some reminiscences.

R-1 Hound in its Original condition:

Houndorig.jpg (64725 bytes)1  - Hound in its original box, this is the Japanese version which is the same as the American version.  The only different is the box and instruction which is written in Japanese.

2 - Here's how the content looks when you opened the flap or cover revealing the figure through an opening window.

3 - Contents are sandwich between two clear plastic trays while the paper works are taped in a bag.

4 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card: "1" military jeep, "3" missiles (on tree), "1" shoulder missile launcher, "1" spare tire case, "1" gas can, "1" hand gun, "1" jeep gun.  "1" instruction sheet, "1" sticker sheet, "1" miscellaneous text sheet, and "1" Hound trading card, "1" world art (Hound g1 box art), "2" data files (image of Hound and Ultra Magnus), "1" TF Season 3 episode guide #1 to #9, and "1" Dreamwave art with toy catalog (feature: all of Terrorcons, Gnawl, Overkill, Slugfest).

R-2 Pre-Applied Decals/ Stickers:

There is 1 Pre-Applied Sticker and some Pre-Applied Paint application that were applied onto Hound.  The pre-applied sticker is actually the Autobot rubsign located onto the jeep hood.   The pre-applied paint located on the rear of either side of the jeep and also on top of the jeep hood.

Sticker Sheet:

DecalHound.jpg (45764 bytes)There are 20 registered numbering of stickers on the sticker sheet.  But in reality it's actually 24 stickers since some of the repeat stickers are labeled as one instead of two.  These registering numbering do not include the Pre-applied stickers.

NOTE-1: There is no indication on the Instruction Sheet as to where Sticker #10 should be applied onto Hound.  Both the Original and the Reissue instruction sheet also left sticker #10 out as well.  My guess is, Sticker #10 was originally was meant to place at the front bumper but was omitted out.

R-3 Hound in Vehicle Mode:

Houndveh1.jpg (51821 bytes)Hound in vehicle mode is a military Mitsubishi J59 jeep whose measurement is approximately 4 6/16 x 2 x 2 (LxWxH in inch).  Between the two mode, Hound looks exceptional in his alternate mode thanks to the cool design.  With the huge die cast metal, Hound is actually very heavy.   One thing that needs to pay close attention to is the removable gas can that plug onto the back of the jeep.  This piece fall off very easily so make sure you have all the piece before putting away.

R-4 Hound in Robot Mode:

Houndrob1.jpg (63027 bytes)Hound actually looks more impressive when see it in person as oppose seeing from the picture.  Also, his transformation is very unique as well.  He is one of the few G1 Transformers to have a car seat that is part of the transformation.  Other than articulation and the short arm length, Hound doesn't really have any major negative drawback.  Fortunately for Hound, his short arm length isn't as dramatic as Astrotrain arm.

R-5 Supplementary Images:

Hounddet1.jpg (58536 bytes)Hound shoulder missile launcher is removable in contrast to R-4 image.  Both the back seat support (bottom right image)  and the window shield are bendable making them very interesting for playing value.  Also, the mounted jeep gun can be adjust 45 degree upward while the bottom peg can be rotated at a 360 degree sideway.
