Meeting held at VC

1. Al presented the accounting for the Challenge and there was a small profit made. Several items such as medals, banners etc. can be used for the next event.

2. We have received notification of the acceptance of non-profit status and we can now issue tax deductible receipts for all donations and advertisements.

3. Courtnet reported on the Eastern States Classic and stated that we still have at least 38 verbal commitments of schools coming.

4. Each school has been invoiced and payments are coming in.

5. He will be developing the organizational chart of responsibility as we did for the Challenge and by the December meeting, we should know everyone's responsibility.
The officials are a little upset because of unfounded rumors and misstatements by several members. It was agreed that any information about the Tournament must be given in general terms and referred to the Tournament Directors, Kevin Gallagher and Courtnet Travis.
Minisink Valley HS will be the host for the event and we have applied for a sanction from NYSPHSAA. It is very important that we not make any statements of specifics without consulting the President. It is our first year and we will be judged by our actions and deeds.

6. Dan Wernikoff spoke regarding the new logo and after some brief discussion, a small modification will be made. He also talked about the Program/Journal. We have found a printer who can produce as many as we need at cost.
He handed out the ad contracts and asked every member to try and sell at least one ad. We will send each memebr several copies by mail.
It was proposed and agreed, that each Friends member who solicits an ad for the journal, will received a commission of 25% for their club or team.
Dan explained that the ad would be used for 3 events. The Classic, the Section 9 Awards Dinner and the NYS Kids Championships in March. We will try and secure the rights along with the Sec. 9 Coaches Assn for the Section 9 Tournament.
Jose Delgado spoke regarding the USA Youth Programs and Schedule that is presently on the Section9Wrestling website.
The next meeting is scheduled for DEC 15 at Port Jervis HS at 1:00PM.
That is the site of the Port Jervis Takedown Tournament and we ask all to support the tournament by helping at a table, registration or whatever help Ernie Jackson may need.
Port Jervis supplied one complete table for the Hudson Valley Challenge and we need to be there in force. We will take time to have a one hour meeting to go over the assignments of the Eastern Classic. The mats should be a little easier as we simply will go back to the teams who are entered in the tournament to give us help loading and unloading the mat.
We need 2 mats from VC, two mats from Monroe and 2 mats from Minisink. We can always secure Middletown and Newburgh if we need to as a back-up The Friday after noon early start is a potential problem because we are beginning at 1PM. We will have weigh-ins in the morning and there will also be an evening weigh in. Our profit centers will be admission sales and ads.
We will be renting the big clocks that makes it easier for timing and scoring, just needing one person along with a bout sheet scorer.
At the meeting, be prepared to come with a list of volunteers from your club that can help us.

See you all on Sunday Dec. 15
Al Bevilacqua
President
