Family trip to DC October 2004

Here are some pictures we took during our trip to DC in October of 2004.  Here the Otto family is taking a picture in front of the capitol.

During our visit to the Capitol we stumbled upon the police horse and with Kaylee being so awe struck by horses we had to get a picture.  While walking to the capitol we walked by the police officer shown here and he offered to let the children sit on his motorcycle bike.  Ashton loved it so much, he let him put on his helmet and everything.

 Here we are walking down the mall.  In the last three pictures we are in the American History Smithsonian.  While there we also took a ride on a race car simulator.  Boy was that fun.

During our visit to the American History Smithsonian Museum we had a stop off at the Science Center.  This has sparked an interest in Science not only for Kaylee, but Ashton also.  Ashton separated Kool-Aid to see if there was green dye in it.  Kaylee learned how to preserve a flag.

During our trip to DC we walked upon an anti-war rally in DC.  We stood around and viewed the coffins, representing every person who had died in September.  Our picture couldn't get the full effect of the coffins.
