Dear Ms Lorthridge:
As you know the Middle Country Retirees' Association is an organization that seeks to promote the interests and welfare of the former members of the Middle Country School District regardless of the category of employment with the school district.
In keeping with that objective MCRA has created a "Wall of Remembrance" for deceased employees of the Middle Country School District on its Web site:
https://www.angelfire.com/ny5/mcra
The Middle Country Retirees' Association's "Wall of Remembrance" is open to any and all individuals who ever worked for the Middle Country School District since its inception regardless of the category of employment whether or not they were ever a member of the Middle Country Retirees' Association who passed away in employment or retirement.
MCRA seeks to make current employees of the Middle Country School District aware of a unique opportunity to honor their deceased members by inclusion on its "Wall of Remembrance".
For this reason, the Middle Country Retirees' Association seeks the permission of the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education of the Middle Country School District to approach the individual components of the district (schools, custodians, maintenance people, board, superintendent etc) with a written, open invitation (as attached) to submit the names of individuals to be so honored.
Middle Country Retirees' Association can think of no better way to honor those who have passed through its portals in service over time than the inclusion of their names on a district-wide "Wall of Remembrance".
Sincerely,
Michael J. Daly, President MCRA
