Scholarship Description
The Max Benjamin Kolb Endowed Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Max B. Kolb, an undergraduate student at Hofstra who demonstrated a unique enthusiasm and aptitude for film studies. The Scholarship is intended to assist other promising students to pursue the audio-video-film (AVF) curriculum in the School of Communication by lessening the financial burden of film production costs.
The Scholarship is awarded in the form of cash grants to deserving undergraduate Film Studies and Production majors, to defray film production costs in selected courses in the major. Candidates will be selected by the AVF faculty on the basis of demonstrated financial need, talent in film studies, and overall academic achievement.
