WEINERS in BOOZE - MarMac34
1/2 c Brown Sugar
3/4 c Whiskey
1/2 c catsup
1 T grated onion
1 lb. weiners
cut weiners in bite size pieces
mix all ingred together,
add weiners.
Cook slowly till thick and meat is coated with a glaze, about 4 hrs.
FRUIT DIP marmac34
1 sm. jar marshmallows creme
1/2 T. orange rind
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 C. chopped walnuts
1/4 to 1/2 C. orange juice (3/4 C. if recipe doubled)
Mix all ingredients together.
You may double recipe. Makes enough for an army.
CRAB DIP
1 can crab meat
3 T minced onion
1 bag shredded sharp cheese
1 pint jar mayo
mix together. bake 350º for 30 min. or till top browns.
SOUR CREAM SAUCE for cucumbers - Mom's
1 T sugar
1 T vinegar
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
mix well. pour over cucumbers
SPINACH BALLS
2 eggs
2 c dry stuffing
2 pkg frozen chopped spinach (cooked)
1 stick margarine
1 c parmesan cheese
make in balls, freeze. when ready to use, bake 350º 10 min.
ITALIANA PARTY MEATBALLS
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c dry bread crumbs
1/4 c Spagetti sauce
1 lb. Ground beef
1 c shredded Provolone cheese
1 tsp Italian season, crushed
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 c Spagetti Sauce - for dipping Pretzels - for dipping
heat oven to 400º. Combine all ingredients except, 1 c Spagetti Sauce. Shape into 1 in. balls. Place on ungreased bking sheet. Bake 12 min. or till center is no longer pink. Drain. Heat the 1 c spagetti sauce till hot.
To serve, spear meatballs with Pretzel and dip in sauce.
APPETIZER MEATBALLS - Mary/marmac34
1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drain -KEEP the juice
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c bread crumbs
Dash black pepper
1/2 lb Pork sausage
1/2 lb Ground Beef
GLAZE -
1/4 c Brown Sugar, packed
1/4 c vinegar
2 T Dejon mayo blend
1/4 c Ketchup
1/4 c water
remainder of pineapple juice
put drained pineapple in bowl, then add
2 T pineapple juice,
add crumbs, egg, pepper, blend well, add meats, mix, shape in 1 in. balls. place in greased pan.
bake 450º 12 -15 min.
in large skillt mix Glaze ingredients, remainder of Juice,add meat balls, bring to boil over med. heat, reduce heat, simmer and stir 5 - 10 min till heated thru.
SNACKS
3 c thin pretzel sticks
4 c wheat chex
4 c cheerios
1 can salted peanuts
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
3 T grated parmesan cheese
1/4 c melted butter
In large mixing bowl or slow-cooking pot, mix together pretzels, cereals, and peanuts. Sprinkle with garlic salt, celery salt, seasoned salt, and cheese. Pour melted butter over all; toss until well mixed. Cover and cook in slow-cooking pot on low 3 to 4 hours. Uncover the last 30 to 40 minutes. Serve as appetizer or snack.
PUNCH for a CROWD Liz
6 pkg Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid
1 lg can pineapple juice
1 lg can grapefruit juice
2 12 oz cans frozen lemonade
5 c sugar
1 qt. ginger ale
12 qts. water
mix together. can use Kool-Aid to make ice ring, serves 75
SWEET_SOUR FRANKS - Marie
1 c chili sauce
1 c currant jelly
3 T lemon juice
1 T mustard
2 lbs hotdogs, cut in 1 " pcs.or cocktail franks
2 cans 27 oz. pineapple chunks drained
Combine first four ingredients; mix well to break up jelly chunks. Cover and cook on high 15 to 20 minutes to soften jelly and blend ingredients. add hot dogs. Add pineapple. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours; or low for 4 hours. Set control to low to maintain temperautre while serving.
Pizza Dip
1 tsp oregano
1 8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni, slices
1/4 c green onions, chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/4 cup bell peppers, chopped
1/4 cup mozzarella, grated
Mix ingredients together.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Sprinkle mozzarella over and heat onions 5 minutes more to melt cheese. Serve with melba toast, crackers, chips
CHEESIE OLIVES
25 ripe pitted olives (can use green
1/2 c flour
1/4 tsp mustard
2-3 green onions, minced
4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
3 T margarine, melted and slightly cooled
1 T milk
1-2 drops Tabasco
Stuff olives with onion.
mix flour, salt, mustard and shredded cheese. Stir in margarine, milk and Tabasco. wrap 1 tsp dough around olive, place on baking sheet.
Bake at 400º 10-12 minutes.
